That seems stupid to me to not tell me or others how it is done at the factory. **** couldn't I take a factory tour and see fo rmyself how its done. If it is a machine I would hide that fact also. Makes for a crap edge in my book.

Maybe Sal can answer this? What degree is the Manix edge sharpened at from the factory? How is it done there in Colorado? Slack Belt? Stone? Machine?

It looks to me that the edge is at or near 25 or maybe 25.5 degrees???

I have to comment on this one. As a guy who has owned both Spydercos and Striders. I have had a Strider BT Fixed Blade since 1999. Great knife and it has done it all. Chopping trees, clearing stone and dirt, for a hide. Just a general all around knife it cuts well and holds an edge it is in ATS-34 ...

I also do not understand how someone can go through the day with out a knife!

If I had a buck for everytime I was asked "could I borrow your knife" or "do you have a knife?" I would be rich many times over.

I have been using the 204 now for 3 years and replaced only a white stick due to a drop onto the floor of my work area.

I have yet to see wear on the brown sticks, and I have sharpened at least one knife every day on the S 204.

Its the best thing I have used to put the edge on a knife.

Most of the makers I have had kydex sheaths from required the knife.
This is so the fit matches that knife and is perfect. There are slight differences in the sheaths at times that make individual fitting a must.

Although with a tension screw this is less of an issue, but if it is press fit kydex ...

YEAH I never thought of that stick it to the back of the fridge instant back up defense knife!!!!!
