I'm unclear if SPY-27 is a sprint or will be available for awhile. I'm in no rush for a P3 LW but need one at some point.

I recently put in a pre-order at KC and am at the back of the line on this one.

Spy-27 is regular production, so they will be around for a bit :)

Re: Show your mods!

Put a small sharpening notch in my ZDP dragonfly today. The plunge grind took up the first like, 3mm of blade and starting looking pretty wonky after sharpening. Only took about 15 minutes with a brown sharpmaker rod too! :D

Re: Caly 3.5 Light Weight: Any News?

Still really want to see a lightweight caly 3.5 in the future. I think it would be a perfect alternative to the people who want a "upgraded Endura" with a wire clip and finger choil and what not. Could be a really interesting model

Re: Para3 - CPM-SPY27 now shipping!

One of these will probably end up being my first Para 3 ever. Hope the Manix LW is coming along soon too.

Really looking forward to trying this steel out

Carrying my John Lloyd swayback. I've been on something of a slipjoint tear lately, they are really hard to beat :D

Re: Ok, so the Kapara is really good. Better than I thought. Especially in M4!

A tool steel Kapara would be nice for sure, but I agree with Dum. I was actually using my Kapara this morning making breakfast and was thinking that a contoured G10 with LC200n would make a wonderful alternative to the S30v and CF. Could end up being cheaper too, which would be great! EDIT: Since th...

Re: ZDP-189 vs. K390 on the E4 platform

Both are excellent. ZDP will not patina (unless you REALLY try, but even then it will stain more than patina) whereas K390 will patina. K390 will also hold and edge a little longer. IMO ZDP performs best with a highly refined and polished edge, and I believe K390 performs great either coarse or poli...

Re: Kapara Salt

While I personally love the smooth CF scales and S30v on the Kapara as it is, a textured G10 Kapara in LC200n would interest me for sure. Just keep the wire clip please! :D

ZDP Dfly in the pocket. This has been one of my favourite spydies as of late. My first experience with ZDP too, which has really impressed me. Put a nice polished edge on it and it will cut forever!

Re: custom shop...

I am really interested to see if this does happen, and how it would be run. I am guessing just keep it limited to production steels and handle colours, at least in the beginning right?
