I'll jump on this bandwagon! I'd be in for a Sage 5 with compression.... er a smaller Para! Honestly, I'd prefer the sage. I realize that they can't make every size knife with every lock and steel variation, but a lot of the reason we come here is to put in our 2 cents right??

I just got a Junior today and the first thing that hit after handling it was how wicked smooth it is. I own a bunch of Spyderco's, but I don't have a Chokwe or Gayle Bradley so perhaps they would beat the Junior? That would impress me if they did though. The Junior seems to have nylon washers too! I agree, something more scratch resistant than the 420J please! :D

I'm with Jtoler... tip up, tip down ehh either way works just fine. I vote leave it as is and just offer to help if he must have tip up.

I agree totally, THANKS A TON JON! Very nice knife. It was packaged up really tight (I assume because some of the boxes were bent etc...). Without my other Spydies I would have had a hard time opening the packaging! Again, I really enjoy this one.

I hope Jon takes a little break for himself.

I do like carbon fiber, but vote to go G-10 on this one. Darker Blue would be my first choice, not super crazy about the gray unless it is darker than what I've seen before. Orange would be pretty cool. That color has grown on my with my urban.

I agree, the Sage I see's more pocket time and any of the many other knives I own. I have nothing bad to say about it and I'm very picky! :rolleyes:

I also can't wait for the Chaparral. The warrenclif Urban does take a close second to the Sage I.

Currently it is the Wharnie Urban for me. That knife is just great! I have to agree that a locking version would be heavenly. To me it is different from the kopa (weight, Wharnie, all G-10 and especially the clip!) I know you said niche and I agree they are in the same area, I just would prefer the ...
