I get that, hard to buy and expensive on the secondary market. It has to be a steel I'm interested in before I chase down a sprint/exclusive

Your favorite color combination?
Which exclusive/sprint color combination has been your favorite?
I like the REC Avocado, the DLT Green/Black (wish they'd do an endura or stretch), the DLT Purple/Black and I generally don't even care about how my knife looks.

From classically heat treated 56-57 HRC to 2024 64+ HRC. Like comparing a stock 1955 small block Chevy that barely made 110hp to a fully built NASCAR small block.

It's funny, I wish the chef was bigger and the swayback was smaller.
I want to try a Techno / Techno 2. Fat blades aren't my things but the design pulls me in

Re: Corrosion and Edge Retention
An "edge" is thin, and exposed on both sides, so it it the first part of a blade to respond to corrosion. This was the main problem in trying to find a Salt Water Steel. Even with blades that are coated or chrome plated, the edge is sharpened so it is not protected by the coating or plati...

Just to comes to show how important seeing a knife in person is compared to just reading about them, and looking at videos
The Kapara is more what I expected the spydiechef to be. Feels quite at home as a good/snacks knife.

Re: Questions about using the Sharpmaker
The sharpmaker is 46 years old (1978) https://i.imgur.com/bBaZVNH.jpeg Model 202, a revised update over the 201. For context the current model in production is the 204. Since Sal was a sharpener first, He had a very unique perspective that really went into the design DNA of his knives and why they ...

What I really wish there were more of is the green/orange red 45 cutlery shoppe exclusives

Re: Delica 4 in 2024?
So, uh, 15v delica while we wait for your collab to come out? Spyderco should come out with the "knife nerds set" - like 3-4 different models in specific steels that are optimized for the design and grind. The delica is a legend, and this is coming from someone who started with a Calypso J...

Re: I don't give a #@$! about stainless
Stainless is great when you get soaked outside in the rain and you still keep working. Also great when you're cutting something moist and don't have to immediately look for something to dry your knife off with.
