I like the Tiffany blue idea, and I'd pair it with navy or gunmetal blue.Fastidiotus wrote: ↑Thu Nov 20, 2025 10:03 pmMy mated and often unpleased female has voted Tiffany/robins egg blue or a light lavender color.

Nice. Point taken. :grin-smiling-eyes And I get it. I've bought many, mostly higher-end, Spydercos over the years, and will continue to do so. My tastes and needs just lie elsewhere from ...

Re: Prices OMG Seriously?
The biggest hindrance for me playing in that price range is simply that I use my knives and I don't like the idea of having that much $$$ tied up in my pocket to risk loss or damage with...it is the mental game. It is simply too much for me to consider carrying a $300+ knife because what happens ...

Re: Prices OMG Seriously?
To put it more bluntly, if I'm going to pay small Sebenza money ($425.00) for a Sage 6 Rex 121 ($427.50), then I have to expect small Sebenza fit and finish. IMO Spyderco already wins in ergonomics and blade steel, but if this is the direction that prices are heading then expectations are going ...

Re: St Nicks Knives - CPM REX76 Blue Jean Micarta Shaman
I have no interest in either a Shaman or a coated blade, but I love to see denim micarta scales being used. I hope that continues.

I like this idea as long as it's done right, meaning with decent scales, and not that horrid FRN.

Nothing, at the moment. It takes something with serious "wow factor," like the Paysan, to catch my interest now.

Yes, that's my issue. I'm not a hard user, and my knives are mostly pocket jewelry, so I'm focused on the aesthetics over the functionality.StuntZombie wrote: ↑Sun Apr 13, 2025 5:48 amMost complaints I see about FRN are about how it feels cheap. I guess because it's plastic and light.

Re: Let’s talk about Manbugs
I want another G-10 type Manbug. I don't particularly care what steel is chosen, as long as the scales are G-10, micarta, or carbon fiber. I just despise FRN.

Re: The Pain of Parting with Knives
I’ve definitely sold some over the years that I regret (I’m looking at you numbered Lum titanium tanto and titanium ATR), but I just remind myself that I had a reason. Not necessarily a good one, but a reason. It’s usually been because I get bored and shift back and forth among a handful of hobbies ...

Re: With all the knowledge on edge geometry out there, why are factory edges still so common?
I simply don't care about sharpening. I work in an office and my knives are more pocket jewelry than tools. I enjoy them more for what they are than what they do. I might actually cut something with my pocket knife once a month. Might. So, my original factory edges last for years. Also, I'm one of ...

Re: Let's revisit the Tatanka
I kind of regret not buying one, but that's probably just because they're no longer available. I'd never carry the thing. I learned that lesson many years ago with the REKAT Sifu. Bought a couple and they just sat in the drawer and were ultimately sold. I'm happier with knives half that size now.

Re: Office Workers: What do you EDC?
If you're limiting this to Spydercos, it's the Techno 2, but it's actually the small 21 insingo micarta Sebenza that's usually in my pocket.

I'd like to see something with leather inlays, similar to what CRK did with the Sebenza many years ago.

Re: Love for the little guys
I actually prefer small knives. I absolutely love my Techno 2, and am surprisingly fond of my Emerson Dragonfly, despite the FRN scales (I generally hate FRN). I also greatly regret selling my G10 Manbug. I’d love to see that, and the micarta Jester, be rereleased one day.

Re: Compression Lock vs. Axis Lock: Optimization and Limitations in Extreme Conditions
I like Spyderco more as a company, and have owned more Spydies than Benchmades, but I strongly prefer the Axis lock. The compression lock just doesn’t work for me, ergonomically.

Very nice! I always liked the G10 on the old school Police and Rookie models. Wish I'd never sold my Rookie.
