Re: Taking apart knives
I'm so sorry Sal but taking apart knife (except for OTF/autos) is not a rocket science, just some screws. I just finished right now to take apart my delica that after 7 years of daily work needs some cleaning/greasing and polishing. It was a surprise to see that the internal liners were rust free :...

Re: More K390?
For me K390 on Caly3/UKPK/Dragonfly/PM2.
I have the Urban K390 and it's a little jewel.
In the past I always avoided carbon steel because of the manteniance but nowadays I'd like to have the choice for each model of knife between stainless or carbon steel :)

Re: Caly3 Sprint Run Questions/Help Needed
Personally I avoid the pivot to enter in contact with water always , specially in the case of carbon steel. I only use a brush and camellia oil, if you proceed to remove the pivot and take out the blade you can clean it with lint free cloth and put grease to the pivot hole. Oil unfortunately has the...

UKPK GIN1 sharpening
Hello, I got years ago an UKPK with GIN1 steel, I liked very much the knife and the blade shape (it's the old hollow grind leaf). Unfortunately it arrives with a completely blunt edge, it was the first brand new knife that comes to me unsharpened. I've used it anyway for many tasks where a razor sha...

Re: Non-Stainless Steel Blades, WHY?
Fully agree! Almost all but D2 that in my opinion is the worst steel ever used in cutlery.Deadboxhero wrote:Better edges, if your obsessed with edges the carbon is better.

Re: More Urban Sprints Please
I'd love to have a carbon series so go on with M4, 52100, super blue, A2, maxamet, 3v etc.
At least M 390 for the stainless aficionados.

IWA 2018
Hello Forum, are someone of you European members going to IWA2018? I'd like to be there, even if a little bit far from home. It's not so clear if you can buy tickets or this exhibition is only related to producers and dealers. Has anybody any clear info on this? I'd like very much to be there watchi...

Re: Hello
Mine will be the standard with CF scales. I think I'll like the compactness and the thin blade. After ages of stainless steel some years ago a friend of mine gave me an old A2 rusty knife in order to fix it and I was surpraised by the sharpness after a small session on my stones. Now if there is the...

Hello
Hello Guys&Girls
after lurking for years I'm finally here registered.
I like Spy for the use of not commonly used steel like Maxamet ans S110V.
I hope to have great time here.
I'm waiting for my last SPY: the Chaparral :)
