I guess I wasn't looking hard enough. The ones I've seen all are missing the pocket clips. Oh well. Good to know they are still appreciated

Gen 1 Delicas/Enduras. No collectors, or none left intact?

I was on a Gen 1 Delica hunt a couple years ago and they were so hard to find that I eventually moved on. Why do they never come up for sale? I'm guessing that they either are seen as junk or all lost their frn clips and were tossed. I can't even find discussion about them (all searches lead to ...

The Native is one Spyderco I haven't been able to get excited about. Had a gen 1 years ago and quickly sold it. Recently got a gen 3 in trade and realized I'm still not a fan. The handle design just doesn't fit me. For some reason I'm still tempted to try out gen 5g though. What's my problem?

Hmm, tough choice. I love my SS Crickets and I love Ti. I guess I have to agree with the majority though. Not enough bang for the buck.

If we're talking jeans, the frayed outline and shredded pocket lip adds character. In my uniform pants theres enough room in the pocket that they don't get damaged. As stated above, loosening the clip will usually help a lot if you're having issues.

Just got myself a Manix 2 a couple days ago and I share your enthusiasm. I own several Benchmades, Emersons and various other quality folders and this knife beats them all in combined build quality and strength.

Don't even get me started on the ergos. This thing was built specifically for MY hand ...

Today I'm carrying my BM 635. It's gotta satisfy my Spydie itch til I get the scratch for a paramillie. I've got lots of spydies, but none of them are hard use enough for daily carry.
There's also the ever-present Case medium CV stockman for the detail work. It never leaves my side

Lookin at the Chinook I'm concerned about tip strength. I don't want to be afraid to pry open a stuck window or remove a tire from its rim with my knife. As for the mini-manix it looks like it may have the tip strength and it definitely has the lock strength. Gonna have to handle one to see if it's ...

I'm looking at coming back to Spyderco and purchasing a Para. Can anyone tell me if it is as hard use as my CQC-7? I need a knife that can pry, stab, hammer and cut comfortably for long periods. Basically I'm looking for a tank-tough knife I can trust as much as my CQC, but with a Spydie hole. All ...

Thanks everyone. I'm going to begin my search and continue my savings. I'm looking for something like an Emerson CQC7a but with either a lock back or frame lock and the round hole. Nothing fancy, it's pure utility. As I said above, if Spyderco made their para-millie in 1/2 serrated it would come ...

Custom makers licensed for the round hole?

I've got a picture in my head of the perfect knife and it centers around the spydie hole (It's close to the Para-military but combo-edge). Sal doesn't make it yet so I guess I'm goin custom. I know Pat and Wes Crawford have permission but I was wondering who else could I check out? (after I save the ...

What are the washers in my SS cricket?

They were transparent orange and about the thickness of saran wrap. I've never seen any washers like these. What are they made of and what other Spydies are they used in? Also, why were there 2 on one side and only one on the other? Thanks for any info.

On work days I carry either my G-2 or AUS-8 delicas with f.r.n. clips. Ones serrated the other plain. For dress-up i carry the ss cricket. I'd love to carry my Lum Chinese but I can't make myself trust the lock-up.
