Re: H-1 is subpar???

I've been told by two trusted friends of mine that the Boye Dendritic Cobalt knife blade is not even as good as H-1 as far as edge holding is concerned... Do you mean PE H-1 or Serrated H-1? If the former I'd be inclined to disagree. I owned a Boye Cobalt Folder for awhile and did a lot of testing ...

Re: The Superior Delica

You guys have got me carrying my Delicas again. :p Today it's the CPM Cru-Wear exclusive. I can't say it's my favorite Spyderco design, but there is certainly nothing wrong with it and it does the job well. :)

I think it's the best value for money that Spyderco offers. You get Golden USA quality build, a very nicely balanced steel, and a great overall design for under $60.

Re: Gentleman EDC / Groomsman Gift

How about the Ikuchi? It's considerably less expensive than the Spydiechef and is pretty classy, and good for slim carry I reckon.

Re: Sal and Co. DIY edgeless blanks?

What's keeping you from putting your custom edge on a fully ground knife? I don't see the point of this. One thing I did think of is that with an unfinished edge, you wouldn't have to worry about overheated factory edges making the apex brittle. It wouldn't be enough to make the idea worthwhile to ...

Re: Tell us about your Spyderco Knife of the Year 2019

The Autonomy 2. I haven't carried much else in the few months since buying it. Everything about the A2 is well-thought-out and brilliantly executed. I like the full steel liners; they not only add rigidity to the knife but also thicken it slightly which makes for a much more comfortable grip and thu...

As someone else pointed out, the fact that their higher prices discourage many buyers means that you don't have a 10 minute time window to score whatever exclusive they are offering...
