Maybe that new Larrin Thomas steel that's in the works....
100% YES! I would love to see Spyderco use this sometime in the near future.

Very interesting! I've often wondered about this model, and wished we had more feedback from real-world use.

Re: Brass/Copper Salt Spyderco? Possible?

While I do think it would be a nice looking knife, I feel like it would take away from the main purpose of the salt line which is high corrosion resistance, lightweight, and high visibility. I think copper scales would be more at home on perhaps a chaparral model which is known for doing various ha...

It's a cool idea. I don't see Spyderco making the investment, though. I doubt they could sell enough to make it pay off.

Or, like me, do you find yourself completely neutral? I like and own guns but seeing bullets behind a knife doesn't make me any more or less likely to buy it.
This is my attitude, as well.

Here is another favorite in PD1 with "Beach Micarta".
Nice! Never saw that color style before. I like it!
If you check the GL Hansen (G-Carta) website periodically, they have lots of 'sprint run' micarta in interesting patterns.
Cool! Thanks for the tip.

Re: Sandrin Torino On-going EDC review (pic heavy)

I thought now that the Torino is back to top level sharpness, it might be fun to do a more controlled cutting test, with rope/cardboard/whatever I can think of. We have a busy week but I'll see what I can do.

Stay tuned.

Right!? I was super impressed with that edge he put on there with his new equipment. You have a lot of good stuff too, you should take the plunge on this knife too! You guys put some of the best edges on their knives that this forum sees. I appreciate the skill some of you guys have, it's awesome t...

Re: Sandrin Torino On-going EDC review (pic heavy)

Excellent rundown on your usage and sharpening Connor. The sharpening is what I was concerned about. I think I’ll have to get one of these to play with. Right!? Cool thread. What are the rules and does it run from Sunday to Sunday? Rules on first page. That said, this thread hasn't been doing well lately. Maybe it is time to let it go... As the current judge, I've been watching it and hoping for more entries. This contest seems to rise and ebb in popularit...

Re: Any interest in ~1.0 mm blade thickness?

0.040" ?? That's getting TOO thin for EDC in my opinion. I'd rather have a knife with 2 or 2.5 mm stock thickness and a thinner primary grind.
