Re: What did you use your Spyderco for last?

https://i.imgur.com/zGxJYbP.jpg Tipped and pruned some chilli pepper seedlings with the knife in my pocket - the K390 Dragonfly. The Trinidad 7 Pots are my nemesis, although I haven’t tried the yellow version. The last time I sliced off a sliver of a red 7 Pot Brain Strain and sampled it on an empt...

Re: The elusive Exclusive Spyderco

So fare I have subscribed to most of the companies that offer " exclusive " Para 3 knives, is there a way to see up and coming "exclusive" knives with out searching or checking emails? Keeping up-to-date on this Forum would probably be your best bet. A lot of dealers announce exclusives over social...

Re: Spyderco Throwing Knives?

About 10 years ago I got a set of Cold Steel's throwing knives and I was getting fairly good at it and then a bad time in life got me distracted. I still have them in my storage unit somewhere but it's been quite a while since I've played with them. Cold Steel is hard to beat when it comes to throw...

Re: My latest book Planet of Fear is out

Finished it yesterday, submitted an Amazon review today. Great job, Doc! I think I enjoyed it even more than your first one. I hope that you will write a third! Thanks for the great review! I really appreciate it. I am working on the prequel. How did Bull become Bull? How did he become so important...

I'm working, lately since my Caribbeans were tied to a tree I've been back to my Autonomy 1. I almost forgot how much I love this knife.
Ha! That made me laugh. Only on this forum would that make any sense. :D

Re: What are you listening to?

This evening, I was listening to Beethoven's 1st symphony (in an effort to maintain a peaceful, tranquil mind) while disassembling and reassembling my Guardian Tactical OTF trying to figure out why the action had become so sluggish. After a few interesting incidents - like having one of the miniscul...

Re: How things are going in your area?

Life is still pretty normal here. I am a hermit living in the woods though so most of 2020 has missed me. I am working on the prequel. It is harder this time around, for some reason. I have the basic background, but telling it is harder. I do not know why.
Well, take your time, Doc. It'll be worth it.

Re: Pochi discussion and review

yeah, I do take some issue with the price point though as the sheer quantity of raw materials is very small, though there are nice features like the custom pocket clip and the frame lock accessory that do somewhat make up for it. I'm guessing the cost of raw materials is miniscule compared to the c...

Re: Have you owned a Spyderco lockback with zero play?

Nope, I haven't.
Native 5, two Pacific Salts, two Delicas, an Endura, two Byrd knives, multiple Menbug...every Spyderco backlock I have owned has had vertical play as vivi describes.

Edit: also, the Police 4 G10.
Also, the Tasman Salt and Dragonfly Salt.
