Re: Stretch3

More knife users just need to get the Stretch in their hands. Spyderco's ergos are top notch and it probably has the best of them all in mine. The unique blade shape does everything well too. It has some flat, some belly and even a spear point. It typifies the form follows function ideal that I like...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

Was the Vtoku 2 Stretch ever released? It has not been released yet; I picked this one up at the SFO Seconds Sale on 11.17.18 along with the CTS-XHP DLC Para3 which went up for sale the day before (Friday 11.16.18) , there were other folks that scored other VTOKU-2 Stretches as well, I was pleasant...

Re: 2018 Discontinued List

DLT is good too, but so is Knifecenter as far as I'm concerned. At this point, it is no secret that you should only treat the preorders as a back up plan. They've never had a problem cancelling an order immediately as I found the knife elsewhere. I appreciate the option of a Sprint Run preorder, but...

I've never had an issue with Knifecenter. I even like them, especially after using my $50 rewards credit recently. Sorry to hear you had a bad time though.

Sorry I don't. I was surprised to see that the Sprig has thicker blade stock than the Junction though
I read that on Bladeops and wondered if the listed spec was correct. The Junction should be thinner behind the edge then with such a broad FFG. Sounds slicey!

I got my Sprig and Junction today and they are truly remarkable. Definitely recommend for people with small hands
Nice! I have big hands and hope the Junction will work for me too.

Do you have some calipers handy? I'd love to know how they compare at the spine and behind the edge.

Re: 2018 Discontinued List

Yeah, I just got an email from KnifeCenter that they canceled my Sprig order because “it was not allocated as expected.” Frustrating! New Graham Knives has the Sprig for $159.99 Thanks for the heads up! I’ve never purchased from them before. Have you had good experiences? I’m in scramble mode now, ...

Re: Crazy deals @ Sierra and other places

The Stretch seems to have flown under the radar. ..I didn't know much about it until recently. I really like the blade shape and I'm enjoying the workings of back locks! I've been buying a lot of fixed blades lately for horizontal edc carry. I can always use the Junction for my camping trips if it'...

I greatly prefer deep carry as long as it doesn't hurt handle ergos. I don't like to advertise that there is anything of great value on me.

Re: Californian cancer warning

You should use this or any other "dry" sharpener in a well ventilated area. You'll probably be fine as long as you don't hover over the thing while using it indoors, but the sharpmaker rods can also be used wet. Cliff Stamp talks about using the diamond and CBN rods sprayed with water + rust inhibit...

Re: Replacement Blades: Would you be for it if it could be done?

Perhaps this touches on the threads about a Spyderco "custom shop", but, what are the possibilities and problems if Spyderco were to offer replacement blades for knives, so that when a blade on your favorite wore down or was damaged, you could purchase only the blade, and have it reattached to the ...
