Re: Knifejoy Exclusive...Slysz Bowie??!!
Without the blade and scale finishes of the original, this seems like it could be a disappointing re-release.

Re: Sage 5 Lightweight
People get passionate about their interests and honestly I’d rather hear what really interests people than just a bunch of knife pic threads and what’s in the mail. On topic - how do you guys find the Sage compares to the Native? Sage is my preference. Thinner, slicker blade and better grip comfort...

Re: "If you could only keep 5" Countdown
Disclaimer: I only have 3 Spydercos and have never handled #4 or #5 (although I'm not counting my Ladybug keychain knife). Please extrapolate from this list: 5. Caribbean Leaf Blade PlainEdge 4. Drunken 3. Sage 5 LW ( with custom scales -- maybe cheating, but that's what I've got!) 2. SpydieChef 1. ...

Re: Help with decision? Sage 1 max vs Para3 max vs Sage 5 LW
Hi! I get what you're saying. I was trying to be succinct, but I didn't really explain what I meant. The Para 3 has a blade stock thickness of 0.15 inches and comes to a thickness of 0.024 inches behind the edge. The Sage blade is 0.12 inches thick and probably 0.018-0.019 inches behind the edge. A...

Re: Help with decision? Sage 1 max vs Para3 max vs Sage 5 LW
... If you like a good slicer ...: Sage. Harder use small knife: ....Para 3 .... Not meant disrespectfully by any means, but just out of honest interest: What do you (and others) mean with such statements? If I was new to knives it would sound to me like: "The Sage is a thin, good slicer, but ...

Re: Sun/Moon Chappy
Sal, I repositioned the leaf spring a bit on my CF/G-10 Chaparral, and it's much more comfortable to use now.

Re: Predictions for Reveal 7
Here's my hot take for Reveal 7: Slysz Bowie 2 is coming. The hottest of takes. I've always wondered why it got discontinued even with it's substantial popularity. Maybe this is why... I don't claim to have inside knowledge, but ... on the most recent KnifeNuts Podcast, Levon stated that the Bowie ...

Re: Kind of a Big Deal...!
I love seeing this release. The Sage is one of my favorite Spyderco designs, and I think one reason it doesn't get as much attention as the P3 is the lack of steel variety. Great to see Maxamet on a Taichung model.

I’m really curious: why does the Swayback not have a wire clip? I thought of that as inherent to Spyderco’s Slysz designs.

Re: Sage 5.2
Hi Jmmd, We've had a "plunge" button lock in-the-works on order for several years. We are reaching that point where out maker is very busy and priorities for models are scheduled and rescheduled often. We squeezed the FRN Compression Lock Sage into the Sage series more for users than coll...

Re: Sage 5.2
Sal, an integral would be interesting, but I’d love to see a button lock. If the button compression lock can’t be worked out, it would be great to see a Sage 6 with a plunge lock, a traditional button lock.

Re: Opinions Wanted: Top 5 Best Spydercos
Chaparral CF/G-10 – great small knife, super slicer, attractive, easy to pocket SpydieChef - one of the best production slicers, excellent construction quality, uniquely functional blade Sage 5 - bigger, compression lock analogue of the Chaparral. Great handle Kapara - nice CF scales. Pretty functio...
