Any news on the meet? Usually there's a thread around the 27th. My thumbs are still hurting from refreshing the main page :)

Re: 2021 Spyderco Forum Calendar Contest!

I'm not a Photoshop whizzkid but here it goes... https://i.imgur.com/cv4mXPJ.jpg I'll edit later with the exact model numbers but up front we have the Spyderco Tenacious G10 on the Spyderco Sharpmaker. On the homemade strop there's a Byrd Raven 2 G10 and in the back laying down is a Byrd Meadowlark ...

Re: Amsterdam Meet Announcement

Ah, this is really sad news. Was really looking forward to meeting the friends I made the last couple of years, checking out the protos,... and adding the 2020 coin to the collection, not gonna lie :). But, I do understand the decision. I sure hope there's still a slight chance of having another mee...

Re: A Tale of Two Hawkbills

Very interesting read. I have both the Byrd hawkbill as well as a Dragonfly salt with a hawkbill blade. Though I like both a lot, the Byrd does get carried more often. It's my yard knife and it really does excel at that.

Re: Byrd Hawkbill

Glad to see some more pictures here of the Byrd hawkbill. It still is my favourite yard workhorse. Lot sof fibrous materials so no plain edge knife comes close.

I thought it was the 'V' that was pronounced 'F', not the W oh well :)
You are correct.

I would assume that the W is pronounced as V as in German?
Well, no 😁

Re: What did you use your Spyderco for last?

Before that it cut up a bunch of pumpkin flesh to go into the freezer. Cooked or raw? I just used my stainless Delica to cut open a pumpkin that I roasted whole so I could scoop out the goods and puree it for all kinds of good stuff! :) Raw.
