Re: laguiole-ramco VS ramco-laguiole
Hi Marco,
I went through the thread and realized that the information about the model has been pretty much told on this thread. From Dennis LeMaire to the bee, to production in Japan, end. The maker of the model has long since passed away, and I haven't had contact with the Trading company for ...

Re: New TUFF Cru-wear
Several knife vendors “host” CC subscriptions. Some of these are for CC members that use that vendor to receive their new knives since Spyderco doesn’t ship CC knives to subscription holders directly. Re: New TUFF Cru-wear
The 113V on the blade means that it was originally designated to a collector club member. There's different tiers of collector club but they're all pretty serious expense wise. One of the tiers will give you not just any new model but any sprints and exclusives. Basically that's not a DLT knife ...

Re: New TUFF Cru-wear
Good evening everyone,
I just received this new DLT Exclusive TUFF from Country Knives and I must say that I am totally smitten with it. My only concern is that my blade shows a number (113V) and every picture that I've seen online of this knife the number is absent.
Now, When I went to the ...

Re: New TUFF Cru-wear
Thanks for the reply. Why is it that I don't see numbers on the other knives? I mean, even the DLT ones don;t show a number on the knives.

Now THAT is cool looking! :smiling-heart-eyes What model is that, if I may ask?
It's the original Schempp Tuff.
Beautiful. Thank you. I remember it from years ago and wanting to get one but ...

Re: perennial favorite: The Spyderco Brouwer
I totally agree! I find it an epic mystery why it didn't sell?! In fact, the Brouwer and the Manix 2 back lock, both "stealth" models flew under the radar and then disappeared. Luckily i got both.

Re: Spyderco Automn2
I have an Autonomy 2 and even ordered a few spare spring assemblies for it. I freaking chipped the blade near the tip while cutting some caulking off of a security camera. I love the knife and need to fix it. I miss carrying it.

Re: Anyone have issues getting a Manix 2 blade centered after a scale swap?
I like to think of blade centering as scale straightening. The liners in the Manix2 are pretty stiff but they will bend slightly. I wonder if your scales aren’t perfectly flat and are bending the liner a little.
Wow, you literally nailed this issue dead on. Both scales were ever so slightly ...

Working/stressing the steel causes the magnetic poles to align, is my guess.

Re: What Spyderco is this?
My favorite Spyderco! It's made an appearance in a few movies. One with Bridgette Fonda and Harvey Keitel, I can't remember the name offhand but it was a good one. Back in the 90s. La Femme Nikita?

Re: Are the CruCarta Natives still happening?
If they can't get the linerless micarta to work, sell the knives to DLT as their purple G10 exclusive and to Knife Center as their smooth G10 exclusive. We already know linerless G10 is strong enough.
I have never understood to love for linerless knives. Why? Just to shave a few grams? I ...
