Re: Numbers and letters on blade

113 is one of our collector's club numbers and the 'V' is for variant. We originally had six collector number when the club started, but were persuaded to give up two. Our numbers are 60, 72, 112, and 113. We received four of every knife that Spyderco makes.

I don't understand why someone would intentionally ugly up some nice knives like that in the first place?? :straight-face
Yeah, I saw that, then the other knives and I was like: "What in tarnation?!"🤮
But, they're not mine, so OP can do as he wants, lol.

Re: Is Maxamet from Taiwan "better" than from USA?

One might also note that the pictures posted by the OP represent the entire population of broken Maxamet knives available on the Internet: nine (9) knives. I know there have been primitive cultures that counted, "1, 2, many" but I don't think most of us here would consider nine knives to be ...

Re: Native Chief User Stories?

I carried mine for 2 weeks straight after I received it. The knife works well as a general purpose blade and fits well in pocket for its size.
I will say that this is the first knife that I have bent the pocket clip. I have no idea how it happened but it surprised tye heck out of me. I was able to ...

Re: A question about my micarta / cruwear Native Chief

I haven’t noticed this yet in any spyder backlocks :/

Out of all the Spydercos I've owned over the years, I only have two that show a bit of movement and I bought them within a month of each other. My stainless Harpy and my Caly 3.5.
It kinda bothers me to the point that I don't want to carry ...

I bet the member who posted in the Native Chief thread with the skull he carved out of a chunk of wood with said knife would win, lol.

Re: Any love for the Ikuchi?

one of the things i wished was different about the ikuchi is that it would fit in the pen pocket of my uniform the way a crkt ceo did. due to the curvature and the thicc end, it does not fit in a standard pen pocket. however, it's such a great design and fits so nicely in a pants pocket that it ...

Re: Any love for the Ikuchi?

Yeah the wheel opener is cool. A guy from the counter at the outlet has carried one pretty much since it has been out and has a high opinion of it. I like it, but due to it's smaller size, it (and also the Kobol and especially the Nand) are slightly harder to control in my hand.

If I had an ...

Re: Any love for the Ikuchi?

If I had an order, I'd first choose the Ikuchi, then the Kobol, and a far distant third would be the Nand.

Andunno, man. Of the three, I chose the NAND. It's weird. It's awkward to open. It's not a "user." But it's cool. If Pablo Picasso was to carry a Spyderco, it would be the NAND.

Whittling project done start to finish with that Rex 45 Chief. I like it. I like it a lot.

Re: Any love for the Ikuchi?

I’ve want this one for a while but decided it could wait for CQI to fix early reported issues. After that I kind of lost interest in S30V but maybe now when I can add it maybe I’ll consider it. Problem is the amount of great knives out there now with various CPM steels that I still don’t have ...

Any love for the Ikuchi?

My boss bought one a few months ago and after a meeting we went to my desk and started shooting the breeze, where we always pull out our carry of the day.
He pulled that slim little number out and after letting me play eith it for a bit I realized I had to have one.
He showed it to me when he first ...
