Re: What Are You Reading ?

It's very different to A Walk in the Woods, but still worth a read.

Re: Byrd Wharncliffe

One of the reasons I like the byrd models is the 50/50 choil. It just seems to fit my grip better than the equivalent Spydie models.
Which was why the byrd Wharncliffe’s are so appealing.

Re: Byrd Cara Cara 2 Emerson Opener: NEAT!

This is a very nice version of the CaraCara.
The blade thickness is the same on the Rescue model too, although it is hollow ground. It has been up to the challenge when I have used it for gardening etc.
Enjoy your new knife. :)

Re: Who of you buys only Spyderco, no other brand knives?

Up until recently I would have answered no. But doing a stocktake I realised for the last 18 months all I have purchased are Spyderco knives. Before this there were Opinel, Mora, CRKT, the only way I can afford to try a Razel, and SAK. It seems that I have been bitten by the Spyder. Although, ...

Re: Is there a BYRD in your pocket??

I have been carrying the Cara Cara Emerson wave for the last week, my third Cara Cara. Never owned or used a wave equiped knife before. Colour me impressed. :) Slicey too. Still fond of the :spyder: hole though.

Re: Byrd Wharncliffe

For the record, I don't care a lot about whether it looks like a Delica wharncliffe or anything else... I just want a wharncliffe that I can abuse without feeling too guilty. Can't really afford to destroy Delicas regularly :p This is my way of justifying it too. :) An affordable, do everything work...

Re: Byrd Wharncliffe

It would be nice to see a reverse tanto Wharncliffe, do you see it as similar to the Kahr arms Delica?
I don’t know whether you have seen it but there is a photoshopped Meadowlark Wharncliffe in the ‘What would you like to see next from Byrd?‘
It’s on page 3.
