Re: Byrd Wharncliffe

I would like to second this. A byrd wharncliffe would be a must buy for me both PE and SE. I have the Meadowlark and Cara Cara in leaf and Rescue forms and tend to carry the serrated edges more. For me a Serrated Meadowlark or Harrier would be perfect size wise and if it could be done on a FFG would...

Re: byrd lockbacks

Bought two Robins, G10 and stainless. Stainless lock was stiff initially but after oiling and working the lock (open and closed) it freed up nicely. No problem at all with the G10.
Both knives are worthwhile purchases. So much so that my S.O. has claimed the stainless model.

Re: Large slipjoint Spydie, anyone?

Synchronicity? Using my UKPK today and started wondering how a longer blade would work in this platform. I’m in.

Definitely a standout compact and ergonomic knife. Possibly my favourite in house design.

Re: What would you like to see next from Byrd?

Would an elongated SE Dodo, or Matriach without the 'claw', edge shape work on a sheep's foot style blade?

Re: What would you like to see next from Byrd?

Would the Meadowlark Rescue or Hawkbill Blade’s be fit for purpose?

Re: PRICING

I choose to buy Spyderco because they are consistent in fit, finish and ergonomics. No matter where a Spyderco knife is produced I know that the manufacturer and processes have all passed muster. Take the Rheinhold Rhino as an example the first production run never made it to market... it didn’t mee...

Re: Spyders For Lawn, Garden, Landscaping & Outdoor uses

My garden knives are byrds, CaraCara rescue and Meadowlark rescue.
Both are tough and capable gardening tools but the CaraCara is harder to misplace. :)
Looking to get the Byrd Hawkbill next.

Re: Why can't we have an upgraded UKPK?

A K390 UKPK would be awesome for us, no doubt. But the problem is, that limits the market. I could never sell a K390 knife to Joe Blow down the street. It would rust, quite quickly without maintenance and leave them thinking poorly of Spyderco.(even though it was their own fault Not to be argumenta...

Re: Why can't we have an upgraded UKPK?

Wharnie In k390 wins my vote.
Also a slim reverse-s in ffg, think Cricket edge on a UKPK drop point or leaf shaped blade, would interest me with se and pe as options.
