Re: Why can't we have an upgraded UKPK?

Wharnie In k390 wins my vote.
Also a slim reverse-s in ffg, think Cricket edge on a UKPK drop point or leaf shaped blade, would interest me with se and pe as options.

UKPK, because it's both affordable and legal for Spyderco to ship anywhere.
I voted UKPK. Same reasons. Would prefer the drop point.

Yes, for sure! Look at the Waterway. It’s pigeon holed as a no rust knife and Heaven forbid anyone would want one in any blade steel that could potentially rust. :p :p This is one of the reasons the Siren has a slightly less obvious water reference. I designed both the waterway and the Siren ...

BKF and ScotchBrite are my choice for the Spydie stones and I have had success cleaning Edge pro/Hapstone diamond stones using an eraser.

Re: So what's your top 3 favorite steels? and why?

In no particular order: XHP, straightforward to sharpen, holds an edge well. H1, durable, can be used in any adverse environment, easy to bring back to a fine edge on the Sharpmaker and in SE just keeps on cutting. BD-1, a no nonsense stainless that achieves a happy balance between edge durability a...

Sorry can’t remember the colour, may have been burgundy?

A Pile of Salt. The knives are all precariously balanced on each other and a few went for a swim a number of times when the wind caught them during the shoot ... not that they seemed to care! Two more ended up in the naughty corner and don't appear in the image - my Spyderhawk (the orange handle tu...
