Very cool dye job! Do you remember what color RIT you used? Liquid or powder?
Sorry can’t remember the colour, may have been burgundy?
But I can remember it was a powder. Hope this helps.

A Pile of Salt. The knives are all precariously balanced on each other and a few went for a swim a number of times when the wind caught them during the shoot ... not that they seemed to care! Two more ended up in the naughty corner and don't appear in the image - my Spyderhawk (the orange handle tu...

My son found the antler on a bushwalk and donated his shirt as the background.
The polestar needs more recognition.

Re: Yojimbo 2 wharncliffe with straight edge vs. curved sword cutting philosophy

Interesting thread, it seems to me, after looking at Mr Janich's post on the 11 Bravo knife and reading Sal's on the Yojimbo design, that the broad head arrow relies on a similar geometry to achieve pretty much the same effect. All be it more focused/localised.

Hunting Rusa with my son and a good mate.
Stretch2 came in handy.
Mate was impressed with the knife.
I've given the details to his wife. :)

Polestar/ Alcyone. Designed to eliminate the need for a choil, if I recall correctly. Often overlooked for more ‘prestigious ‘ models ;) +1 on the Sliverax. Right, like also Tenacious, Resilience (these two offer even more edge proportionally than the Polestar) and so on. But I don´t think overlook...
