Re: A Larger Scale Dodo Model? PLEASE!!!

I'm still holding out hope for a Dodo-fly. An FRN Dodo 2 LW would also be something I'd be interested in. Not sure I would want a larger version. I prefer smaller for these blades. I'd be all over a Cricket-fly or an updated FRN Cricket 2 LW with wire clip and bi-directional FRN on both scale sides....

Re: Stretch in a steel I never heard of v-toku2

Or skip the folder and get an LT Wright Ranch Hand. :D Folder wise, the Cruwear Straight Spine Stretch XL that Sal has mentioned being in the plans seems like a solid pick, but that could be months/year away. For current models its hard to beat the K390 Endura, or wait a few months for the K390 Stra...

Re: Long Blade Folder Guys ... what you cutting?????

I didn't read through all of the responses, but one of the main reasons I like a longer blade is cutting through bags because it goes through both sides. Dog food bags, mulch bags, chip bags, etc. I like the Endura in these cases. Otherwise, I find the Endela the best blend of compactness and blade ...

Missed opportunity to go cruwear!

Cru-carta PM2 is production, which I would take over a G10 Cruwear anyday (which I also have...the Purple Cruwear PM2). But I agree Cruwear needs to be a production steel across the board!

Re: I'm having an issue with US made Spydies

Now, if only I could find smaller impact rated torx bits for mine(my kit at work only goes down to t30). Good luck! -Chad You shouldn't really need impact rated Torx bits for knives, even if using a hand impact or (gasp) battery impact. Impact bits are more for maximum torque applications like driv...

Re: I'm having an issue with US made Spydies

What kind of bits are you using? That looks like a Security Torx bit (hole in the middle), which will be weaker due to the hole. I'd recommend either PB Swiss, Wera, or Wiha bits in the standard Torx pattern. I've also recommended this bitholder from PB Swiss a few times, but this thing is seriously...

Re: FRN Jester Sprint Input Needed

They really need to add the Jester back into the lineup. A Toxic Green LC200N Salt version would sell well I would think. I don't have access to all my old catalog files. Was the Jester ever sold at the same time as the Ladybug or Manbug? Maybe they're hesitant to add it back to the line up because...

Re: Will there be more LC200N Salts? especially Hawkbills?

My 1-2 punch that has been claiming most of my pocket time lately: 52100 PM2 and SE Hawkbill H1 Dragonfly. So yeah, LC200N plainedge dragonfly or PE lil'matriarch would be insta-buys :D You can still get a PE Lil Matriarch from Bento Box Shop if you don't need the full rustproofiness of LC200N http...

Re: Colors - Talkin' Story - Marketing

I like earth tones on EDC knives. Foliage Green, OD Green, Forest Green, Coyote Brown, Desert Tan, FDE, etc. I definitely would love to see OD Green Micarta used extensively with steels like CPM-3V, AEB-L, and maybe even some CPM-MagnaCut. For knives like the Spyderhawk Salt, which I would primarily...

Re: Comprehensive list of CQI changes...

I would suggest starting with the most popular current models, and then working your way back in time and outward to less popular models. So for example, The Native 5 (started with liners, went linerless, went from S35VN to S30V, etc). No Need to get into prior Native models right now. I'd be most i...

I hope so! I just got the Ladybug Hawkbill and Dragonfly Hawkbill a few days ago. I'd totally buy FFG LC200N versions of each in PE and SE. The one I really want though is an FFG LC200N SE Spyderhawk 2 Salt.

Re: Keychain Knives Suggestion

I don't like directly attaching to the lanyard hole with an s-biner, feels like I'm wearing away the frn. SS split rings are cheap enough that I buy them a dozen at a time. I lost my hawkbill Ladybug from one of those little S-biners. I don't use them anymore. Those are what I use as well (clipped ...

Re: Keychain Knives Suggestion

I know you can buy them. :D

My point was Spyderco could probably get them in bulk for under $0.10 each for a high quality stainless ring, so why not include one so people don't have to track one down?

Keychain Knives Suggestion

I wonder what the reason is for not including a nice high quality stainless steel split ring for the keychain knives? I just picked up a handful of Manbugs and Ladybugs from DLT for my keychains and would have loved some nice split rings to be included. I have plenty...somewhere...but I am remodelin...
