Re: CBBL, Compression lock, and other lock preferences

I honestly like them all. I'm excited to try the ball lock on the Dodo. The only lock I don't like is a lack of one (slip joint).

Re: a painful lesson relearned

That is super frustrating!! I usually have great luck with USPS and I buy and sell tons of stuff on eBay. I did have one DLT Red M390 PM2 that I bought on the BF exchange that never showed up. It didn't ever make it to delivery status though. It just stayed 'in transit" forever. :( I believe y...

Re: Would a Chaparral LW Slip joint be a good idea?

I voted no (apologies to folks in restrictive jurisdictions) as I tried a UKPK and decided I need for lock for my uses. I love the Chap LW and I would rather see them focus on getting the standard version restocked and then focus on developing a FFG PE LC200N Salt version of the Chap LW.

Re: Sal, may I ask: When will the Chap FRN be available again?

The Chap LW is in my opinion the most well executed knife I have ever owned. It is literally perfect in every way and there is nothing I would change about it. I don't know if I can say that about any other knife. It is unbelievably smooth as well. It feels like it is opening and closing on glass. ...

Re: Upcoming Sage 5 LW - Who's In?

I'll be buying one as soon as it drops. The Chap LW and Para 3 LW are two of my favorites. This appears to combine the best of both of them. No brainer. Hope to see a few sprints/exclusives of this one

Re: Lil' Native Comp Lock – some thoughts after over 3 months of EDC

The Lil Native Comp Lock is a great knife! Looking forward to the first exclusive as well as the LW version.

My only complaint is the lack of spine and choil jimping. If they would CQI jimping into the next releases this will shoot the Lil Native up towards the top of my favorite model list!

DLC SE Dodo...A plea to BladeHeadquarters (BHQ)

First and foremost, thank you BHQ for bringing us so many amazing exclusives in the form of your Jade M4 family! Thank you as well for treating DLC lovers as equals in your series, as us DLC fans don't get nearly the love on exclusives as the satin blade fans! And finally, thank you for bringing bac...

Hi Steelcity,

I think I would prefer to avoid any coatings. They add variables.

No worries Sal! While I am a blade coating junky, it certainly isn't a deal breaker! :)

Re: If you could only have TWO Spyders...?

Even though I typically EDC smaller blades, I'd probably have to go with my H1 SE Spyderhawk and H1 PE Pacific Salt. I think I could do pretty much any task with those two knives. Plus they are light weight, zero rust, ultra tough, and easy sharpenability. Steelcity16, I agree with you on the H1 SE...

Re: AFI Performance Flash Batch

I am curious as to whether a TiCN coating would further improve the slicing performance of this model via added lubricity? I've seen various sources say that coatings like DLC and TiCN decrease friction and that is actually why they don't coat the liners on the compression lock models, because the d...

Re: A quest for Sal ...

Don't know if they'll do Seki-knives in LC200N generally...? There is already supposedly an LC200N Pacific Salt that has been in the works for a long time. And there was mention of an LC200N Dragonfly at one point as well. I would personally love to see FFG LC200N SE and PE (and even some CE) as al...

Re: What's the chance of an Urban in Sleipner?

Since Sleipner is a Bohler Uddeholm steel (M390 and K390 are as well), I'm hoping there is a chance we could see it in Seki City Japan models. I don't care for laminated steels, so I would rather see the Endura-family sprints in Bohler steel like Sleipner, Elmax, Vanadis 4 Extra, Vanax, AEB-L, M390,...

Re: Cruwear Micarta Native follow up to the Shaman??

A Cruwear Native following the Shaman would be awesome and I would purchase them both, preferably in G10, which I believe is superior in every way to micarta. In my opinion G10 is no where near as aesthetically or tactilely pleasing as a well done matte finished slightly roughed up micarta. And if ...
