Re: FRCP vs. FRN

Some folks have mentioned FRCP as being used in the native 5. This was confusing to me, since the Spyderco site as well as every online retailer I've seen lists it as FRN. I did a little googling and found a Bladeforums thread from 2013 in which Sal stated that the then-upcoming native 5 would use ...

Manix LW in CRUWEAR with a new color of translucent FRCP. CQI to screw construction would be a bonus.

Re: Spyderco Models That Deserved To Be Offered In SE

I'm a big Spyderedge fan. The thing I would like to see most would be a cheap mora-esque style fixed blade in the Byrd line with a long 8"-9" fully spyderedged blade. Basically a long slim blade that used come stab into things like bags of mulch and rip through both sides of the bag in one motion.

Re: Spyderco 2019 Reveal Volume 3 Per Knife Center

I will probably buy the Stretch. The part I was surprised about was it being a sprint run. Too bad for a sprint it did not come out in Cruwear. Just looking at it he handle has great ergos much better than the PM2. I guess this one will be liner-less? Agreed. VG-10 is the standard test bed steel pr...

Re: Manix 2 Lightweight (Gray FRCP & CPM-CRUWEAR)

Another year gone and no CRUWEAR Manix Lightweight. I have been rotating between my Cruwear Delica and my BD-1 Manix LW mainly for the past few weeks. Both are great knives. But a Cruwear Manix LW would be outstanding! Hopefully it is coming soon. I am so surprised that we still haven't seen Cruwear...

Too soon to ask for a matching Resilience LW? :D Can't wait to pick up a few of the Tenacious LW. Probably will get one of each (PE, SE, CE).

Re: LC200N Dealer Exclusive

They did the Never Summer Native in LC200N, and I am not sure it that was a full Salt (stainless everything) or not. And the Abel Reels Natives are LC200N as well. So maybe they will do a sprint of an existing LC200N Knife in a different format. Like a Carribean with non-ugly scales?? ;)

Re: K390 fans rejoice!

Wasn't there a coated hap40 delica from st nick's? There may be hope! CG Yes, there was. I believe they should do two times the normal number of knives for this series with half TiCN coated and half Satin. There is clearly going to be enough demand to support this. Especially if you do models like ...

What do you want it to include?

sal

TiCN coated K390 Jester, Dfly, Delica, Police LW, Wharnie Delica, Wharnie Dfly, and Wharnie Endura.

Please include the Jester. The time has come for a new one. TiCN K390 would be perfect.

Thanks Sal. Looking forward to see what you choose in the end.

Re: Manix 2 lightweight choices or ?

Don't count on another sprint/exclusive anytime soon. I don't know why, but the LW doesn't get a lot of love in that area, even though I like this model more than the PM2, Para 3, G10 Manix, and most other knives. If you like S90V, and orange, and DLC, you may want to email Cutlery Shoppe and see if...

Re: Spyderco Heavy Weights!

I like how heft feels in my hand, but not in my pocket. It can give a knife a more premium, quality feeling and that extra weight is nice when cutting certain materials. The inertia of the knife itself keeps the cut going, reducing fatigue. Yep, my thoughts as well. I enjoy using heavier knives, bu...

Backlock only for me ever since my Para 3 LW partially opened in my pocket a few times. Turned me off on comp locks.

Re: Native 5 in G10 vs. Native 5 Lightweight in FRN

I'm a fan of the FRN Lightweight knives in general, and the Native LW is one of my favorites. I prefer them to their G10 counterparts for their reduced weight, increased texture, and the lower price doesn't hurt either. I wish we would see more LW sprints and exclusives. We need a Native LW and Mani...
