Re: Will there ever be

Lightweight (CF or FRN), non-flipper Mantra in anything other than M4. Been hoping for a liner-lock or frame-lock Delica for a long time. Mantra was close, but no cigar.

Re: What Spyderco are you?

Southard. Highly anticipated, lots of potential never fully realized, kept around and well-loved by a select few despite some notable drawbacks.

Re: The Endela - what are your hopes for it?

Well the answer is obvious buy a back up for your Kapra and use the tar out of the one you already have. No point in using a knife and missing the one you really want to use. There are many of us who do this. Another knife is always the answer : ) Never considered doubles. I like them in their resp...

Re: The Endela - what are your hopes for it?

Hi Durham, Welcome to the forum... The concept of blade/handle ratio is more of an "eye appeal" thing than function thing. sal Thanks Sal. It’s pretty cool to get to chat with the guy making my favorite knives. Got my first Endura 25 years ago when I was 15. Just put the endura and Delica...

Re: The Endela - what are your hopes for it?

Hi Durham, ....... The concept of blade/handle ratio is more of an "eye appeal" thing than function thing. sal Truth! My fingers and I would not like the delica as much if the blade went all the way to the handle. Would make closing the knife a two handed job. That's one of the reasons I ...

Re: The Endela - what are your hopes for it?

Split the difference between the size of the Delica and the Endura, and maximize blade length. I love the Delica 4 but am perpetually frustrated by the ricasso and the extra space at the bottom of the grip that could accommodate a longer blade. A better steel and a liner lock would just be gravy. I...

Re: Shipping of internal parts

A lock-bar with "more meat" is a custom part. Even regular lock-bars are made to order for a run of knives. Nothing is "just laying around". To make a one off custom part will cos more than $100 in just machine set-ups. Customers that want custom parts should also contact custom...

Re: Shipping of internal parts

So glad you are having this conversation. I have a Mantra that has had a fair amount of work done to it. I absolutely love it, but somewhere in the process of turning it into what it is today, someone made it lockup real late. It’s safe and probably won’t be an issue for some time, but seeing as th...
