Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

This Lil' Temp 3 came the same time as my newest creepy curio for my horror themed man cave/guest bedroom(only once, haha).

The Caribbean's older, dwarf brother did not disappoint.

Re: Completely Forgotten Spyderco Models: Your Favorites?

Much of my collection is comprised of forgotten models because I bought them after they were discontinued and deeply discounted. Terzuola's Double Bevel is a another example. I'm a sucker for complex grinds and swedges. In addition to the eye candy, it was delightfully petite, slim and light. Again...

Re: Completely Forgotten Spyderco Models: Your Favorites?

Have always thought of this one as the Police models evil twin brother.. Loved the Ulize. So slender, slim and light. Elegant yet so wicked. Somewhat reluctantly, I gifted mine to my LEO brother-in-law. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/n3j2-KRsEDQTdzjjH1EZyXC_9Ja1oMHfX8LGZSJzXnVbHfklJ6AAIz_RCUzXnR...

Re: Please Pardon the shameful sales pitch - Rock Jumper

If you like the model enough just grind the spine/tip down a bit until it's legal. Problem solved. Manually, on a coarse whetstone, one could probably grind off .08” in just a few minutes. Still it would have been nice to have somebody do it with a belt sander at the factory. It works both ways, I'...

Re: Completely Forgotten Spyderco Models: Your Favorites?

Have always thought of this one as the Police models evil twin brother.. From what I was told about 5 years ago the ULIZE design was supposed to have had it's roots in some type of law enforcement type design. SO I do believe your hunch is correct. The ULIZE is also another example of a model that ...

Re: Clear Manix 2 LW Vanax SuperClean sprint?

Yes on Vanax.

No on plain clear and CBBL.

I gave some thought to doing some clear scales. But, ultimately I decided that they would wear awfully. Clear plastic doesn't age well.

Car headlights would be a good comparison. That would be the knife scales, with any real use.

I can't believe this one is still in stock, given how much of a frenzy there was over the original a while back.

If it were purple, maybe.

Re: Help me choose a serration pattern

From what I've heard, a shallower, more rounded serration is ideal.

I'm sure David and JD will be in shortly. :p

Also, yea for SE Mantra! I've thought about it a few times, can't wait to see the final result.

Re: C27P Jess Horn

I've honestly been looking for a user. I love mine. But, it's too nice to use. I just can't justify it. Finding one for sale that has some miles on it is even harder than just finding one. I remember watching the Cranberry Lum go, that was impressive. I would have loved to nab it, but I wasn't in th...
