Re: Street Beat Sprint - Let's Get Serious!

Micarta, no question.

If it's a tool steel, I'd say M4.

Stainless, LC200N.

Re: SPY27 PM2 Colorado Edition

Our market has grown considerably over the past couple of years and it's ever more diverse than before. Trying to serve the different preferences does present it's challenges. No knife is going to be good for all. SPY27 is our own baby ( actually mine ) and time will tell it's worth. This is one of...

Re: Seki or Golden Yellow?

I prefer Seki yellow. Nothing wrong with the Golden yellow, it just reminds me of the yellow on a school bus. Maybe a little less orange than that. I'm more of a buttercream yellow fan, myself. Seki isn't that far. But, it is a much "softer" shade of a yellow. I wouldn't not buy, either of them, due...

Re: Switch Gamers

This just arrived, from the land of the rising sun. https://i.ibb.co/pyw89kK/20210223-211411.jpg I've been waiting for this game, for over twenty years now... Not exaggerating, at all. Saw it in a magazine back in, maybe '97 and wanted it SOOO bad. But, it was only released in Japan and only in Japa...

Re: MantraMantraMantra

The Mantra 1 is a gold standard in my collection. Aside from removing the flipper(still on the list), I wouldn't change a single thing about it. Grind it off! Grind it off! Grind it off! 20210102_163554_copy_3024x1701.jpg I know a lot of you like to grind off the flipper tab but I like how it creat...

Re: Try this at home. New sharpening method.

It's funny, this is what they would do to heads to get more flow. They would dimple(or just coarse finish) the roof portion of the valve ports and polish the floor. The dimpled roof would cause turbulence in the air passing over it, forcing subsequent air to pass below on the shorter, polished secti...

Re: Need your Educated Opinions

I've been wanting to try one of the WolfSpyder. It could fit the bill, maybe.

I personally don't like how blade heavy the Para3LW is.

Re: Unicorn Hunting - Wegner C49 w/ Fish?

If I could diverge the topic a bit... assuming that Spyderco had a patent on the spydie hole, when did that expire? I’ve seen a small handful of non-Spyderco’s with the trademark spydie hole and it confuses me. Some people suck, others pay royalties. :p :D Does BM pay royalties for using it on the ...

Re: Blemishes? Advice Needed

I love my new Z-Wear Shaman, and consider myself lucky to have scored one, thanks to a heads-up from a member on this forum (SteelCity16). My issue (is it one?) is that my new specimen came with a scratch on the blade, and it stands out to me every time that I handle the knife. Is this something th...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

Is that a tire tread cutter? Looking at it again, it can't be... What is it? :D this is electrician knife before 1000V :D ;) Haha, makes sense that I wouldn't recognize it. That's one of the few areas of construction I'm not fluent in. It almost looked like a tool my great grandfather had, for cutt...
