Re: webfoot v golden stone

Any ideas about when this should become available for purchase?

Also, I've also seen mentions of it being offered in conjunction with the Golden Stone, do we have any info on that kit?

Re: Anyone else concerned?

This last year was especially deflating as a European Spyderco fan. I have been looking forever for something exciting to use as a warehouse knife, but it is either too expensive (case in point: Spyderco Shaman S30V going for €235/$270 over here, for example) or I get excited about some cool new var...

Re: s35vn from china

I'm more worried about the kind of screws they're using, personally. I've been eyeing the Resilience In S35VN because it looks like it would do very nicely at my workplace, but I've seen quite a few examples online of Tenacious with butter-like screws. Spyderco might have certain peculiarities that ...

Re: Cruwear or Z-wear Shaman with G-10?

I would be all in for a G10 handled with Cru-Wear or Z-Wear model... Could do without the DLC coating though, a bit tacky for my taste. Micarta might be nice, when when it comes to cleaning up a dirty knife, G10 is much preferred for my uses. I sure could use a new work knife right about now :D And ...

Re: Reveal 6 Live!

Balisongs are illegal in the Netherlands. To carry and also to have at home. As it should be. I remember one if my baisongs picked it's way out of my safe, made its way into town a cut something. I didn't get in trouble because I had no control of the knife. It had a mind of its own. sal...

Re: S35vn on the Tenacious...what does it mean?

I am of the opinion that S35VN alone doesn't justify paying double the price for a Tenacious coming out of China. Although that deal could have been sweetened if we saw some small CQI changes to go with the upgraded steel... Personally, I would have been all over this if it was using T8 screws all a...

Re: Reveal 6 Live!

Was watching the Reveal 6 video by Nick Shabazz and my heart stopped when the Tenacious in S35VN appeared, been wanting to gift a knife to my work coleague at the warehouse but I wanted something nicer than 8cr13mov, so this was literally made for me! That was until... 140$ MSRP :( So we're probabl...

Any plans for a new Crossbill variant?

I've always been curious about this model, but I don't see much of a point in getting a part-serrated or plain edge for my uses, unfortunately. The G10 version would have been nice, but apparently it's discontinued and likely not making a return. Having said that, what's the status on this one? I'll...

Re: Taking apart knives - part 2

I can’t recall ever having a desire to take any of my knives apart and I would be thrilled with a return to pinned construction. At least on the models I’m interested in. Most of the average people I’ve talked to about such matters feel the same. Enthusiasts usually feel very differently and althou...

Re: Appeal to bring back the stunning Titanium UK Pocket Knife

Personally I think that 20CV would be a lovely match to that titanium, but I don't even want to imagine how much such a piece would cost... If not, anything around the level of S30V would suit me perfectly well, that's more than enough for anyone. However, I don't think the titanium alone plus S30V ...

Re: Urban Ti Elmax

Perhaps they should seriously consider moving production to Golden. That would be the dream for me, the HH UKPK has completely converted me to slippies made in Golden, but I really doubt they have the capacity to produce so many different types of knives there... They undoubtedly have their hands f...

Re: Urban Ti Elmax

From what I've seen it's all about the prices, all of those TI variants went for some pretty wacky prices compared to what they offered. Nowadays I think that it's even harder to get into that market since many huge and not so huge Chinese makers are providing high-quality Titatinum models with grea...

Re: Why can't we have an upgraded UKPK?

Why would we want one? Because not every country in the world is enjoying the same relaxed knife laws as the ones where you live. In Europe, every new version or model of a legal knife from Spyderco is an event. I also have quite a few of those models, problem is that I can't take them outside the ...

Re: 2020 hopes and dreams

Regular production Cruwear Shaman in G10. Pretty tired of the whole Sprint Run drama by now, just make this one available to everyone who wants it. Urban BD1N/S30V, orange G10 and made in Golden with all that sexy CQI. The elusive Lil' Native slippie. Finally, a new Hawkbill slipjoint as a curveball...

Re: Why can't we have an upgraded UKPK?

For me personally, orange G10, Wharncliffe shape all the way: https://i.pinimg.com/originals/e6/ea/db/e6eadbdf4ba341c211c32be2ce878812.jpg That's obviously the Urban, which would be the perfect complement to the Heinnie S30V UKPK, but I would buy a UKPK equivalent just as quickly! As for steels, any...

Re: Urban LW pivot screw

The Maniago factory strikes again... From experience, I can tell you that the D-shaped pivot hole turned into an O-shaped hole by now, I've had that experience twice now with Italian FRN models, on a Squeak and an Urban. Unfortunately, for me personally, after trying every single little trick and ha...

Re: Large slipjoint Spydie, anyone?

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the PITS folder yet. It only has a 3" blade, but its still a good size and fills the hand well. Oh make no mistake, I am well aware of the PITS, but unfortunately, the only way to get one now is to pay very silly prices. Would love if they came up with a PITS...

Re: Large slipjoint Spydie, anyone?

Any type of slip joint coming from Spyderco is a good slip joint, big or small :) My only preference is that it comes from Golden. After the wonderful Red G10 UKPK, I feel like I have been spoiled when it comes to quality compared to the stuff that comes from Maniago. At this point, I would be happy...

Re: Change in price of Spydercos in 2020?

We still have some solutions to find with Europe and export to other countries. Any new information regarding that Europe bit? You should see eBay in Germany... Whenever anything Spyderco related shows up at a decent (meaning: not great) price it immediately evaporates as if it was a Cru-Wear Shama...
