Re: BHQ Military CPM M4 DLC Exclusive
Millie needs some real CQI. comp lock and tip up. It would skyrocket to the top of my favorite knives list.

Re: Is the CBBL dead???
We can't even get any Manix 2 XL sprints/exclusives, which saddens me. I've been waiting for that knife in M4, well; Since I first used a knife in M4. For me that experience was the Jade/M4 Manix 2. I think it's safe to say it's near the bottom of the totem pole, We've seen the proliferation of the ...

I snagged one after sleeping on many of the recent exclusives, 4V and the red/black combo is right up my alley.

Re: Manix 2 XL in CPM-M4 or Rex-45
St. Nick's knives is a retailer with a para 3 coming out in 4v, I planted the seed with them that a M2XL would be great in a tough steel, see what happens.

Re: Manix 2 XL in CPM-M4 or Rex-45
I like your Manix 2 XL in 3V in your signature. This would be my first choice. Not nearly enough love for 3V on this forum. And if they are going to test the waters with a 3V model (Tuff doesn't count...too niche), the Manix 2 XL would be absolutely perfect. Or 4v... Honestly. Rex45/m4 and 3v/4v wo...

Re: Manix 2 XL in CPM-M4 or Rex-45
I literally have been thinking about more manix 2 XLs for the last 2 weeks, and just added it as a want in my sig this morning. It does not get nearly enough love. Please migrate some more exotic steels to the Manix 2 XL, Spyderco!

Rubicon 2, bearings?
Guys I need a quick and dirty answer here, I haven't looked at the Rubicon 2 but was offered one in a trade today. The question: are there Rubicon 2s out there without CQI (bronze phosphor cage) bearings? I own a domino and while it's great now, I dont want to own another knife with the 1st gen bear...

Re: Would you buy more or less Spydercos if they were all made in the same steel?
while I generally value the variety of steels, it also largely depends on what the "one steel" would be. If all Spyderco's were s30v, i'd probably buy much less. If all spyderco's were M390, it probably wouldn't deter me one bit. However this is chronologically sensitive, in 10-20 years M3...

Re: Why did the market want heavier knives?
I don't think anyone really wanted heavier, however I can see how many folks value the rigidity of liners, including myself. The Endura 4 is still a VERY lightweight knife in my opinion. The E4 is a light knife for the size, but the E3 is lighter and meets all my needs. So for me, the liners in an ...

Re: Finding the Para 3: The Perrfect Storm
Due to having 2XL hand size, I shied away from the Para 3 until about 6 weeks ago, at which time I picked up a Bento Box Shop M390 Para 3. Which since, I have become curiously enamored with. If it can work so well in my hands, I think it would likely work for anyone. in using this knife I realized, ...

Re: FRN Police 4
I like FRN, but the transition from the scales, to the backspacer, and back, just isn't smooth, the backspacer protrudes some, possibly due to pressure from the lock spring. perhaps recess the backspacer like on the Native 5 LW? but please include washers :D The Delica backspacer here, protrusion se...

Re: FRN Police 4
I just hope it retains the exposed steel liners/backspacer. the way "FRN meets FRN" on the back side of the delica, endura, etc. is one my biggest peeves about the knives coming from the Seki factory.

Re: The more I learn, the more there is to know
I have to agree, I went from cheaper pocket knives (sub 50$) to my first Spyderco last October or so (Endura 4), and man has it snowballed, I have 11 at the time of this writing. I have learned so much about knife steel, locks, sharpening etc. all thanks to Spyderco, there are a few other quality kn...
