It's all about the HOLE. When your thumb finds the hole you have complete control of your knife. The location of the hole is allways in perfect balance with the whole knife. If you change your EDC now and then, as long as it's a Spyderco you don't have to think. With the HOLE your off hand works ...

There is a knot called a Monkey Fist that makes a ball. It is alot more complex than the pic. The cord is cut with a hot knife and makes it look like there are no ends. Good luck.

I'm in medical sales selling surgical instruments, implants and surgical devices. I have had an interest knives since I got a cub scout knife in the 4th grade.
I have mostly Spyderco and carry 4 or 5 different on a rotation basis. I just got a Para Mil what a great knife.

2.5" limit

In Ma. any blade 4" or under is ok as long as it is not double edge. I'm heading to San Francisco on bus. next month, does anyone know the carry laws there? :spyder:
