Re: Lil Native Tanto?

I voted yes. I think the smaller size would greatly compliment the shape of a tanto. One reason I tend to stay away is they’re usually longer blades and I feel I lose the control of the tip and tanto point. The Battlestation is a good example of greater control due its smaller size. I don’t like tra...

Re: High Performance Delica Excitement

Would love to keep the 2.5mm blade stock for pivot/lock strength, but grind that profile down to a 2mm or less spine.

Re: My growing love for the Para3

I never quite fell in love with the g10 version. But I recently got a LW and it’s a game changer for me. Something about it just works for me better than the g10 ever did. And you’re right about the fidget factor. I think it’s even more fun to flick around than the pm2 is. Definitely try the LW if y...

Re: Spy27 Threads the Needle?

I have had similar experience too. Also have yet to chip any. It seems to want to roll or deform rather than chip. I actually find it very similar to S45vn in use and sharpening. Can’t wait to get that mule and put them both head to head in identical platforms.

Battlestation today. Waiting for some sharps containers to be picked up and disposed of when I saw a photo op. Those are empty Moderna COVID-19 vaccine vials in there.

Re: I took apart my Pheonix

No and yes. I didn’t buy from SFO, but I am sending it in for them to evaluate and decide what to do. Id rather take a chance at getting a repair/replacement than just a refund. I trust Charlyn’s judgement. I want the model, but I want to be happy with it too. Keep this thread updated with your exp...

Re: Para 3 strange vertical streaks in blade

I can see the same lines in my Spy27. Maybe they aren’t as prominent, but definitely are there. I view them as signs of a nice evenly ground profile. Almost works of art on some models.

Re: Finally got a Chap!

Thanks to Wartstein and his constant high praise of the Chaparral I finally gave in. It looks amazing in hand. The quality of finish is top notch. I love how the lock bar is beveled at the cutout. I had never seen that in pictures so it was a surprise. I haven't done any testing yet but with it's t...

Re: If you liked X you’ll love Y

Backlock preference? No, I like those and compression locks equally as well, and both very much at that! The Shaman has a few "misses" to it that I still to this day can't understand, like the PM1-style blade hump and that darn comp lock tab sticking out when closed. Neither of those things happen ...
