Yes, my Endura 4 combo is a saber grind - from above it almost looks like a bayonet blade.
Carried my CE Endura on duty as a Firefighter for years. Great knife!
Welcome Dep :)

Re: New to the forum and Spyderco

Sorry JD, I was referring to the OP and worded it poorly. I've edited my post for clarity.
Thanks for sharing about Missouri though! Beautiful state :)

Re: New to the forum and Spyderco

Interesting Forum name you chose i.e. "Ozark75". Which begs the question: Are you from the Missouri Ozarks? Yeah I do know that some of the Ozark range also extends south down to Arkansas. But most of the really good parts of the Ozarks Mountains ( big Hills) are here in good old Missouri...

Re: Looking for thoughts on Caly 3.5 vs. GB2

Caly 3.5 has a much more delicate blade and steel. If you want "stout" the GB2 has a much tougher grind as well as steel. Also easier to clean as the Caly is pinned construction.
I carry both at times: GB2 for general hard use EDC; Caly for dress up gentleman's carry.

Re: Community Sharpening Journal

Wallach, thanks for sharing :) I'm pretty sure what you're seeing there at the tip of the knife is the thickening primary grind leading to a wider bevel. Most production Knives have varying bevel grind thickness either intentionally or unintentionally; this is one of the disadvantages of a fixed ang...

Keeping an eye on these. Love my recon 1 spear point.
YES!
I have a couple in both XHP and s35vn (hollow ground as well as high saber) and MC would be a great steel for this knife but not @$260!
