A famous chocolate manufacturer here discontinues best selling variants to let the customers experience other variants and let them try other tastes as well.

I see similarities.

Re: 2021 Forum knife?

Ladybug and manbug are not allowed in some places.
Either locking OR one-hand opening but NOT both.

UKPK seems to be the best choice.

Re: 2021 Forum knife?

Yes, I did. But it was more a "grail poll" - similar to now. It should habe been a Golden model which many ignored. I also contacted Sal for some details but no reply. At the end SPY27 "won" because it was near to be out but not yet. Model not decided. As SPY27 it should have been cobalt blue but ma...

Is the Jester in the dragonfly range?
Then yes, love the shape.

I think the hump gived a good ramp for the thumb and also reduces the weight.

Re: Interest in Front Flipper by Spyderco?

I hoped the Watu would be one.

Hoping also that they adjust the detent better than at the flippers (Sliverax, mantra 3...) - the detent was way too soft.

Re: sharpening

If you want it easy and efficient: gauntlet premium or sharpmaker with diamond rods.

Watch lance clintons sharpening videos.

Try with kitchen knives first.
No pressure.
Keep the stones clean.
Do it often to get training.
Be patient.

Re: Will Spyderco Sharpen A Factory Seconds

I would buy a gauntlet premium.
The eye shaped rods are easier for beginners and overall its a bit cheaper.

If you want it very cheap you can use sand paper and a wood stick.

Dfly k390 - something small

At home I used my tenacious lightweight and Para 3 Maxamet to open gifts.

Also sharpened the Maxamet after cutting some paper. Maybe I am a bit obsessed with the sharpness level of my knives ;)

Re: Para 3 LW Spy27 worth the price?

Definitely. It's a lightweight Para 3 in Spyderco's new own steel! What more can you wish. And it's blue; and not expensive. If you like the Para 3 it's a must to own. About your questions: Rust: I do not know. Similar to VG10. VG10 is often used for kitchen knives. If you handle with a bit of care ...

Re: Poll for alternating annual seconds sales between online and in-person

Wartstein, for me they are a global company. Factories all over the world, also Europe. As soon as US slept there were no updates for the second sale. The other world had never a chance to snap anything. I tried many times. Never succeeded. Either the keep it as US only or change their process to gi...
