Re: BHQ Para Series with DLC M4 /Jade
Maybe it's a return??? Someone's lucky day! 11:50 eastern 04/30.
BHQ had a Para 2 DLC M4 / Jade in stock (removed the direct link in case that is/was an issue).

Re: UKPK S110V Drop Point?
+1 I've been close to pulling the trigger on the drop point with BD-1 model. With s110v in a drop point, there would be one in my pocket. I'm just drawn more to the svelte drop point over the leaf shape. I know BD-1 is no slouch of a steel, but there are too many other great choices available beggin...

Re: BHQ Para Series with DLC M4 /Jade
Just nabbed one. This will be my first DLC blade. I'm a sucker for BHQ's jade, exclusives. Waiting to see if the Native gets the jade treatment.

Re: Endura Wharncliffe
I was hoping to see an E4 as a wharncliffe or sheepsfoot. I'm a sucker for Enduras and either one of those bladeshapes. Superblue would be first choice, hap40, zdp, or s30v would make it to the top of my rotation.

I am perfectly happy with my Zome vg10. Been tempted by other steels but the one dragonfly fits my collection well.

Re: I love the Spyderco Endura
I started my Spyderco collection with a found Delica. It was my gateway into a PM3, which then led me to try a Native 5, and then the Endura's. Started with a superblue. Then HAP40 orange. Then HAP40 Pakkawood. Then ZDP. I had to get in line for the VTOKU. The Endura fits the bill for me. Huge hands...

Military growing on me
I've been a bit of an Endura fan since becoming a Spyderco guy. I like the large blade in the light, thin package. Lots of knife that carries very well. I kept looking at the BHQ M4 Military, thinking I'd like try M4 and I like the Jade handles. Finally pulled the trigger and it arrived a couple day...

Re: Am I the only one who has expensive knives but carry my inexpensive ones?
Been carrying for most of my life. $60 or less was my comfort zone until 2013. My first $100+ knife was a $170 Boker that I had my eye on for a while. I had to carry it. That knife broke my threshold. Many $100+ knives later here I am on the Spyderco forum. The next thing I learned is that when a bl...

Re: The Knife Buying Process
Neat thread. I had never thought of the knife buying process my father goes through and haven't given much thought to what he is/was thinking when gifting a knife to me. On the flip side I know that I have purchased 3 of a couple spydies with the thought that my boys will one day get to carry a Ping...

Re: Carrying a knife in a "no knives" workplace.
As far as my workplace is concerned: a knife in your car is the same as a knife in your pocket. I'll keep it in my pocket thank you. We have saws, chisels, grinders, drills, forges, mills, and metal shards everywhere throughout the shop. I see people using dangerous tools everywhere I turn. The knif...

Joe. That sounds awful. I would not give high security lock up a half a chance. Hats off to those that do. I surprised by how many comments this question brought on. ;) Knowing that nobody was going to change my mind on the matter, but its nice seeing where and how others stand on the topic. Thanks ...

Re: Carrying a knife in a "no knives" workplace.
I have simply switched to in-pocket carry and only use discretely in controlled areas. I still carry whatever blade I feel like, usually something with a 2.75" to 4" blade. I work in a large industrial factory as the site IT manager. My most common uses include opening boxes, cutting cable...

Carrying a knife in a "no knives" workplace.
I've carried a knife nearly daily since graduating from high school 17+ years ago. I have carried everything from 2" blades to 4.5" depending on the nature of my line of work and/or just breaking in my latest blade crush. I started a job 7 months ago and the company has a "no knife&qu...

Re: Fan Boy Note
I too really like the Pingo. I'm a sucker for a sheepsfoot and many Anso designs. Also a big fan of the Urban lightweight.
The Vrango does not interest me based on appearance and I'm not going to let myself hold one.

Re: Re: Name a Spyderco knife you thought you would like but didn't once you owned it.
PM2 is the first Spyderco I bought for myself. Its also the only one that I'd sell to justify adding something else to the collection.
