Re: PM2 Pivot screw stuck. And I mean STUCK. SOS.
Sorry for late reply, but did you end up finding a solution? I had a similar problem in which a pm2 w/o threadlocker still had a stuck pivot screw. What I did for a stuck pm2 screw was locking my screwdriver in a vise grip, butting it up against a corner in my tool box, then while pushing down on my...

Re: Have you ever simply just NOT been able to remove a screw? Even when there's not thread locker?
To all of you above that replied, thanks so much for your suggestions. What eventually worked was that I clamped my screwdriver into a vise grip, put it into a corner of my toolbox, then used my knife as a lever. It still took a lot, but it did eventually break lose, some deformation of pivot screw....

Re: Have you ever simply just NOT been able to remove a screw? Even when there's not thread locker?
Last ditch effort goes like this: take off the other side, and the blade, and heat the Pivot with a flame. Not too much of course. Will both expand the Pivot a bit and soften any loktite in there. This would have been an interesting solution. I actually did take off the other side and use a solderi...

Re: Knife reassembly with custom scales
I have the same question regarding how you lost your washer lmao. For your pivot screw: I recently had some bad luck with a pm2 pivot screw that wouldn't come lose. Heating it didn't work. Hammer method work. I had to lock a vice grip onto my driver, put the vice in a corner in my tool box so it wou...

Re: DLC 20CV PM2?
I got mine, and WOW...it sure is a "looker" Can't take that away from it. But I can tell, for me...who primarily uses knives outdoors and in a warehouse setting, I'm not sure if these scales will work for me  They look fantastic, I really do like them with the black blade. The h...

Bent Liners from Factory: Why? (Spyderco Kapara)
When I got my Kapara in January, I had to take the knife apart immediately because the action was probably the worst I'd ever gotten on a Spyderco and I couldn't find them in stock anymore. It was rough as **** and the thumb/ middle finger flip couldn't open it. I noticed the Liner(s) (I only took a...

Have you ever simply just NOT been able to remove a screw? Even when there's not thread locker?
^as subject states: have you guys ever just NOT been able to get a screw loosened? For background, I recently got one of the pink, breast cancer sprint runs of the paramilitary two from 2016. It was when Spyderco was still using red threadlocker, so I had it sent in to have the screws loosened. When...

Re: Official Sliverax Discussion Thread
Joining the forum just so I can partake in this thread. Super excited about this knife! FWIW I also had a pre-order witch KC that hasn't shipped. Looks like KC may have taken more pre-orders than they can actually fill  Unfortunately don't think I can get into any other retailers consideri...
