Re: What did you use your Spyderco for last?

I used my lefty PM2 for moral support to remind me that great things can come from working for my dad.

Re: Spyderco Siren Release Date?

I'm sorry to hijack this thread with my issue but I can only imagine other lefties will likely deal with this as well. The post on the chicago screw is just firmly stuck inside the G10. I have NO idea how to get it out.

I'd really like to be able to reverse this clip. It shouldn't be this difficult ...

EDIT: Never had to struggle this hard to reverse a spyderco clip :( its like the pin on the opposite side of the clip screw is loctited in. Still can't get it and not sure ...

Re: Help Identifying Knife in Blade Runner 2049 (non-spoilers)?

haha hey thanks for the reply/links! and especially for the "making of" video.

I totally agree... the murder lady's knife was awesome! I loved the shot of her deploying it!

I also liked the various scalpels featured in the movie (though my inner knife nerd was criticizing the blade thicknesses ...

Help Identifying Knife in Blade Runner 2049 (non-spoilers)?

Hi!

For those of you who have seen this movie I was wondering if you could help me with something... there's a scene where K, the main character, visits a crime scene and uses a pocket knife to cut open an entrance in the plastic crime scene covering.

The knife is open-back with a very large ...

Welcome to the forum! I highly recommend the Dragonfly Hawkbill. :D (not a Byrd, but still on the low end of the $ spectrum)

Re: Hello from New Member in SoCal :)

Also, I have to add one more thing - Being a lefty can really suck sometimes, especially if your native culture stigmatizes left-handedness (as mine does). So when I observed my new leftie Paramilitary 2 as perhaps the finest example of its platform I've ever handled, I was really emotionally ...

Re: Hello from New Member in SoCal :)

Hi and thank you all for the warm welcome and for the suggestions! I will definitely look into either the hawkbill Dragonfly 2 or Tasman salt. I think I'm leaning toward the Tasman Salt for more hand-filling ergonomics and overall sturdier construction but we'll see... I'll probably end up with both ...

Hello from New Member in SoCal :)

Hello~

I'm a long-time lurker and Spyderco owner (about a year and a half) but have pretty bad social anxiety so I tend not to engage in forums. However, I've found this particular online forum to consistently be a wellspring of knowledge and kindness so I decided to finally say hello.

I work in ...
