Re: Is my Delica fake?
That don't look too good. Here is a pic of the one I picked up from SFO. Your photo washes out the blade; is there a visible line of the laminated steel about an 1/8" up from edge? CG Another thing, does yours say SUS410 or SUS310? I noticed that in the listing on BladeHQ, it says SUS310 (but ...

Is my Delica fake?
Hey all! It's been a while since I've posted here, but I have a concern. I recently purchased a Delica 4 Vtoku 2 sprint run secondhand. I noticed that the spot where it says SPYDERCO, and SEKI CITY JAPAN looks a bit off, especially when compared to my other Delica. I've attached pictures of both, vi...

Re: Decisions, decisions...
Thanks to all who gave their input! I'll be ordering a Delica 4 FFG, and a Sharpmaker with UF Rods to do some touch ups!

Decisions, decisions...
Hey all! I've recently been looking into purchasing my first Spyderco. I'm stuck between a few. These being: Delica 4 FFG in VG-10 and FRN Handle, Paramilitary 2 or 3 in S30v and G10 Handle, and the Para 2 or 3 in S110v and Blurple G10 Handle. The price between these isn't a problem for me. I'm also...

Re: Mule Team
I apologize for being very broad in "best", I value edge retention and corrosion resistance. Toughness is also important, but the other two are the most important to me.

Mule Team
Hey all! I've recently become interested in the Mule Team line. I was wondering, from any of you who have used them, which one would be the best to get? I'm a little late, I would've loved to have collected them all. The current in-stock models are: MT-20 MT-22 MT-23 MT-25 MT-26 MT-27 Thanks! EDIT: ...

Re: Work Sharp vs Edge Pro
Thanks guys, I'll definitely be going with the Hapstone. I'll most likely go with the Shapton Glass and Atoma stones, however.

Work Sharp vs Edge Pro
Hey all! I've recently been looking into guided sharpening. I'm deciding between two different guided sharpening systems. The Work Sharp Ken Onion Edition, and the Edge Pro Apex. My question is, should I buy the Work Sharp, or just bite the bullet and buy the Edge Pro instead? I would be purchasing ...

Re: Mantra vs Para 2
Since you are a MountainMan, I'd assume you plan to take the knife into the wild. For that reason, I'd choose the PM2. The steel is more corrosion resistant, the handle is much more versatile (I find the Mantra to be a little cramped and I don't have large hands), and the clip on the PM2 will provi...

Re: VG-10 vs ZDP-189
The fact you're asking this question suggests this is all pretty new to you and by extension I'm going to assume you don't have a lot of sharpneing experience. Nothing at all wrong with that and if I'm off base I apologize, just the perspective I'm coming at this. Given that, I'd recommend VG10. It...

Re: Mantra vs Para 2
Any way for you to feel both in hand and see which one feels better? Cutting length is very similar on both, but the Mantra carries a little smaller. M4 and S110v both provide excellent edge retention. S110V is going to have excellent corrosion resistance, M4 will rust/patina on you if you don't ta...

Mantra vs Para 2
Hello!
I've been trying to make a decision, should I purchase the Mantra in Cpm-M4 and Titanium handles, or the Para 2 in S110v and Blurple G-10 handles? I love the look of both knives, and they seem very nice, but I'm not sure which one to purchase first.
Thanks!

VG-10 vs ZDP-189
Hello!
I'm deciding between two Delicas. The Delica 4 FFG in VG-10, and the Delica 4 in ZDP-189 (the model on Knife Center, with British Racing Green handle, is it FFG?). I'm wondering, is it worth the extra $30 for ZDP-189, or would VG-10 be good enough?
Thanks!

Re: Spyderco Steels??
Many Spyderco collections are steel collections. Keep in mind the Blurple knives are standard production and will be there later. You might want to pick up the HAP40 while it's still available. There's also several Mule Team knives on the Spyderco website that are still available but won't be there...

Re: Spyderco Steels??
Thanks Evil D and JD Spydo!! I'm familiar with knives, I've been studying different factors online, but I've found it extremely confusing. I'm looking in to getting an Imanishi 1k/6k combination stone, and most likely the Naniwa Aotoshi Green Brick 2k stone. For my EDC, it would be used mostly for ...

Spyderco Steels??
Hey all! I'm a newbie to Spyderco, and I'd like to start collecting their knives. I've been looking around, and I was wondering what the best steel to buy would be. I'm torn between the Para 2 Blurple in S110V, the KC Exclusive HAP40/SUS410 Pakkawood Delica 4, and the Grey G-10 Maxamet Para 2. What ...
