Received word from Zen (thanks!) that NGK’s CC 087 subscription that I used for over a decade has been picked up by someone. If anyone sees new 087s in the wild, please let me know. Thank you, Radioactive
Just got this in from NGK

Re: Beautiful Bodacious Bevels (contoured scales mod)

Very clean work. This is how they should have come. Nicely rounding off edges of the scale and contouring is one area where benchmade has Spyderco beat imo. Yours looks very comfy.

How did yiu make it look so nice? Looks machine done

Re: Polishing Crucarta Scales

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. I was thinking some fine sandpaper and some polishing compound. I don’t really have any experience polishing synthetics. I was thinking to do any sanding in a bucket of water.

Re: Oddball blade steels

It’s going to be a massively popular steel, so imo something mass appealing. I like the idea of the forest green suggested, but i think OD green would be great as well. How about black? 😄

Polishing Crucarta Scales

Has anyone tried to polish their crucarta canvas scales? I’m not a fan of the stock dry and rough texture and i think micarta looks way better polished as well. i hate how grimy/gross the stock scales end up looking as well with use. I would be interested to see any pictures and learn about what ...

Re: Military 1 in SPY27 ?

I certainly hope we get more military 1s. I also prefer it to the 2. It’s one of my favorite models. I’m not holding out hope but a salt one would be amazing. Id welcome any new steel though. Not interested in 110v

Price increases this year?

So it looks like we are going to have another price increase this year. Do we know the specifics on this? Just imports? Is Japan still staying the same? Just a few of the questions im wondering.

When Is the new coating coming out?

The one replacing dlc that Eric talked about. I like how DLC looks, but i dont care for the added friction while cutting things like fruit, boxes, etc. Just wondering if there has been any update on this.

Golden, Colorado USA.

My favorite. 👌
Is that the one on Earth?

Anyway, I agree, Golden makes a great knife. They have their detents generally dialed in. Although taichung has some great fit and finish, some of the detent based knives are on the light side - not my preference.

Re: stretch 2 compression lock

Kunwu just came out with a compression-style lock on one of their larger knives. It has a bar that runs between the scales, and thru the the lock bar tab, to stabilize the lock bar and prevent it from twisting (and releasing) if the knife is torqued during use. This might be the answer to ...

ImageI went and checked my PM2 magnacut. It seems to have a checkered? surface. It makes for a firm grip. I wonder which finish is supposed to be on the scales?
Hmm this is confusing. So some are smooth and others are peel ply?

Been a while since we had a PM2 run with cool blade shape.

How about a hollow grind?

Saber grind! There's something about the saber ground version of the stretch that just looks SO good. A saber ground pm2 would be incredible.

That’s called a proud tip and it’s not normal. Unfortunately your warranty is voided. Was it always like this or did it appear after the mods
