Re: The Golden team have brought me to tears

Firstly I will join the line sending congratulations and also thanks for sharing your experience. I am very proud to own and carry (and use) my Spyderco knives. As the added bonus, I get to take moments of positive reinforcement (and smiles and quite a few LOLs) from this community.

Welcome to Spyderco ownership. I got hooked in last year and I'm up to three and that Lil Native is on my radar.

Re: KnifeCenter Para 3 Cruwear

Got mine as well. Happy to have Cru-wear again. Buying from KC meant that this exclusive was significantly cheaper than the light grey version purchased from a Canadian retailer last fall.

Re: Thanks Bandwagon

Welcome. I too did a lot of browsing and reading at first before making my first purchase. I discovered Spyderco shortly after the Para 3 was new. I got a Para 3 sprint and then added a Dragonfly H1 hawkbill this summer when my brother bought a sailboat. I still learn something new every time I log ...

Re: KnifeCenter Para 3 Cruwear

Thank you Forum enablers. Zero reason to order anything new, especially another Para 3 YET I wandered the house for 5 minutes to locate my wallet . Pre-order in. Merry Christmas to all and to all goodnight!

I'm interested in a Lil Native sprint - might help me get over the indecision of which lock version to buy.

I was very excited to see my name on the winner's list. Cheque was dropped at my post office earlier today.

Re: Dragonfly HB Salt Found!-H1 is Amazing

Happy to hear that your hawkbill came back. Curious to know if you replaced it or had other Dragonflys available while it was missing?
I got mine earlier this year to take sailing and I am so impressed with it.

Re: CF para3 S90V

I am very partial to this variant as it is (currently) my only Para3. I quickly learned that I would not be able to afford to start collecting and I wanted to try a Para 3 for my EDC, so this was my choice.

Re: Knives going out of stock in Canada?

Sorry to post to an old thread, but I just got an in-stock notification this evening from Blades Canada for the V-TOKU2 Manbug. Probably not the target of CBSA; however, it is hopeful to see this retailer with some new Spyderco product.

Re: Pink or purple dragonflies

Most businesses, in my experience, would not include duties in their shipping quotes (unless specifically broken out separately). However, the US had implemented a $800 limit that could be imported via mail duty free back in 2016. Not sure if that would have changed. Shipping parcels within Canada i...

Re: DLC M4 Para 3 with Natural G-10

I really like this combo, but I'm trying hard to not start a collection. I sold my Cru-wear when I got the s90v sprint, and I am still quite interested in the Rex45/burnt orange. I am sure that I do not need three Para 3s, but that's just my brain talking.

I'd like to try something smaller than my Para3 so I'll consider any future sprint of the Lil Native.

Re: Knives going out of stock in Canada?

dawebman, welcome to the forum. As others have answered, the Para 3 is legal to buy and own in Canada. I'm located in PEI and currently own two Para 3s. Importation via mail is the current hurdle dealing with the CBSA. I've spoken to the RCMP and sent correspondence to the Assoc of Cdn Police Chiefs...

WSGSS stroping technique

I purchased a Work Sharp guided sharpener and have a question about the leather strop. Does it work better with fresh jelly and compound each use or can the leather be used "dry" if still impregnated with compound from previous use?

Re: Standard Production vs Sprints, S30V vs X steel, and market saturation..

My budding interest in EDC lead me to various forums and sites and I wanted a better folder than my single backlock sub $20 (shop tool and never carried) knife which eventually directed me to Spyderco. I won't turn into a collector, but my interest in having a nice production knife that was reasonab...
