Re: Catcherman LC200N Sprint Run

I just got mine today, it's definitely a BIG knife. Looks very "slicey". I thought I'd hate the plastic clip more, it's ok.

How good is the sheath retention? I’ve been thinking of getting one for my PFD but I was concerned about it falling out.

Hi Sal--- Seems to be some chatter on SOL (stripersonline) re: the Caspian. https://www.stripersonline.com/surftalk/topic/861954-knives-for-fishing/#comment-17623252 It appears that Spyderco relies heavily on reputation word of mouth for sales impetus. Advertising can be expensive, but I can't help...

Re: Dragonfly on PFD

Nice. How long does a zinger hold up with regular salt water exposure? Im assuming the internal spring is stainless. I could use to get a long time out of cheap carabiners even with daily salt water exposure until they fell apart. I have thought about doing a similar setup but I have been very luck...

Dragonfly on PFD

I love my Spyderco Knives and I've been trying to find a good way to carry one on my PFD while kayak fishing. After lots of trial and error, I finally have a system I like. I use a short length of 95 Paracord tied in a loop with a big stop knot. This allows the loop to easily slip through the lanyar...

Titanium scales with compression lock

Has Spyderco ever made a knife with titanium scales and a compression lock?

Titanium is my favorite scale material, but I prefer the compression lock to the frame lock on most all the titanium knives.

Re: Which Carbon Fiber Knife to buy?

Thanks for all of the suggestions! I think I’m down to between the Lil’ Native sprint or the Kapara. I have 2 Lil’ Native sprint/exclusives. They’ve become some of my favorite to carry. I love the size, wire clip, and lock. I’d like to try something different like that the Kapara but as it’s stock m...

Which Carbon Fiber Knife to buy?

I have about 30 Spydercos in my collection. What I realized is that I don't have any with carbon fiber scales.

What are your top picks for a first carbon fiber scale knife to add to my collection?

Re: Dealing with high humidity

If you’re going to do any food prep, I’d stick with mineral oil. It’s cheap, readily available, food safe and does a fine job at rust prevention.

https://i.imgur.com/TodJalB.jpg The Dragonfly 2 Salt in SE is one of my all-time favorites and it’s a knife that accompanies me on every vacation. Unfortunately, I don’t have a lot of luck with them. My first one was lost to the Caribbean in Jamaica and the second one was lost in the surf of OBX, N...

Re: Lil Native Clip Problem - Unusable, Help!

When I got my Rex45 Lil' Native I had the exact same issue. I emailed Spyderco and no one ever replied. I eventually just bent it out a tiny bit and it’s been perfect ever since. In fact, I totally forgot about it until you posted. The Rex45 Lil' Native was my first Lil' Native and has become a favo...

Re: Spyderco knife saves lives

WOW! What a story! My family and I just got back from Yellowstone and my wife was completely freaked out about all the bear warnings. If she had seen this she would have never gotten on a single trail. In Yellowstone, no one hikes a trail without carrying bear spray. Whenever we were hiking, my wife...

Isn't REC supposed to release these again? I've really grown fond of the Lil Native and would like to get one if of this variant if they become available again. Any idea when it will happen?

Re: 2022 Spyderco Forum Calendar Contest

I have an iPhone 11 will the standard settings produce a photo of usable resolution for the contest? The actual size of your photo should be ok. As long as you don't zoom and crop too much. It's the DPI that will need adjusted. My iPhoneX is only 75dpi. But you can use a photo resizer to get to 300...
