Re: Siren?

I saw it in the BHQ Shot Show video with Eric. The pictures don't do the knife justice, it looked absolutely beautiful in the video.

I can't wait to get my hands on one, but almost too nice to take on the kayak!

Re: Would you pay up-front for a Forum knife?

Like most have said, if knew up front exactly what it was going to be, I'd be fine paying now and receiving the knife at some point in the future. I'd really want to see a prototype or mock up at least.

Re: Dear Sal & Eric

Hi Doeswhatever, I don't think we would do that for one request. Maybe another company may consider an exclusive? It cost a great deal to bring a new model to market, over $100K. It really screws up our cash flow if it isn't popular. sal So, if I had $100K to invest in a sprint run to my own design...

Re: Tell us about your Spyderco Knife of the Year 2019

A few weeks ago, I would have said the Brouwer. It was one of the knives as soon as I saw it I wanted it, It's a simple elegant design that slim and fits well in the pocket with room to still get your hand in. I love this knife. However, then came along the McBee. The first time I saw it, thought it...

How to fix rounded tips?

For newbies, it's pretty easy to round off a tip when sharpening on various systems. Even the Sharpmaker, if you draw the knife off the stones you can round the tip off.

I realize this is probably easier to prevent then fix, but I'm curious what technique people use to fix the tip when this happens?

Re: Knife floats

I was unhooking a 3 foot thrashing spiny dog fish in the kayak that knocked a cheap pair of scissors sink into the abyss. My current total number of lost Spydercos is 3 - In in Jamaica, one in OBX, one I dropped at work. Hoping this number stays flat!

Re: Knife floats

Well this is embarrassing. I never actually tested the float on the Pacific Salt (though I repeatedly rinsed it off the side of my kayak in 60 ft of the Atlantic ocean). So I just tested it and it sank like a stone! I did some experiments with the floats in freshwater: The floats will float 1 oz of ...

Knife floats

I've lost 2 Spyderco Knives in the ocean so far. None while fishing oddly enough since I use them kayak fishing, but I've don't want to lose anymore, so after some experimentation, here is where I ended up. A short piece of 95 Paracord, tied to a key-chain float and the knife. I bought a pack of 10 ...

If you're still on the fence, you'll likely have a few more months to think about it. Looks like they are all sold out again.

Re: How’s the Native Salt treating you?

No blade play, it will drop shut, but the opening action is stiff, the worst of all my Spydercos. It's very difficult to flick open. Because it will drop shut but won't fick open, I think it's an issue with the strength of the back lock spring. When I press really hard down on it, the blade free swi...

CG
I'm pretty sure the Teal Delica had 2 runs. At least I thought I got mine on the second one.
