Re: Black blade for Para 2 left handed

As another lefty I understand. But like the others in this thread, manipulating the standard PM2 just takes a bit of practice. It very quickly became 2nd nature to me. I am actually waiting eagerly for the Military 2 in Digicam and DLC and have no qualms about the "right hand" lock. If you...

Re: Military 2 Discussion (Merged)

Bdubs808--Is that a Lynch Spyderco Long clip I see on that new Millie? I hope so, because I've ordered one from Lynch NW already intended for my Millie 2 when it arrives at last.

Re: Left or right-handed knife user?

Lefty here and very grateful that Sal and his company offer so many models that are either ambidextrous or in special left-handed sprint runs. Thanks.

Re: Military 2 Discussion (Merged)

As a lefty, I never got a Military in digi-cam with black blade. But as I can readily manipulate a Para 2 RH compression lock, I eagerly await the new Military 2 in digi-cam with black blade. I especially love the 4-way pocket clip set-up. Let's bring it, baby! My gauche hand is empty and ready!!

Re: Tip Up Lefty Conversion Military

As another lefty, I'm hoping that there'll be a new version of the Military that is somewhat more ambidextrous. I can operate a right-handed liner lock okay (righty compression lock as well), but a 4-way pocket clip is what I most desire. That would be aces.

Kudos to Spyderco Warranty/Repair

I just received my fluted titanium Military back from Spyderco W/R. I first found this knife in a pawn shop. The lock-up was perfect and there was no damage to the titanium parts. However, the blade was a disaster! Dull as a butter knife, tip rounded, and the flats of the blade were badly scratched....

Another run of the Military with CTS-XHP would be very cool.

Mine arrived yesterday. It's a gem, just perfect. Thank you, Mr. Glesser, and to all involved in this special run.

Re: Left handed

As a lefty, I am among those who can learn to operate a right-handed lock. My complaint is about clip position. I carry a couple different right-handed Militaries and the opening/closing is not as much an issue as is their single mode for the pocket clip.

4 1/2" blade, compression lock, and 4-way pocket clip...call it a Military 2 or a Para 2 Xl, just don't call me too late to buy one!

Re: Any chance of a Chinook Sprint Run?

I hope it remains as ambidextrous as the second version, if it indeed comes to pass. I sold mine some time back when the wolf was at the door and I'd love to replace it. Gorgeous knife, solid, and with a superb steel. Fingers crossed on a new Chinook soon.

Re: Tatanka

I've dreamed of this knife for many years. I'll certainly buy one if I ever get out of my currently impoverished state. I've had to sell nearly all of my once large Spyderco collection to keep the wolf from the door, but once I have some money to spare, I'll be on it. Thanks to Mr. Glesser for anoth...

Back in the innocent days of 1990, I took my first Spyderco, a PE Delica, through airport security. I had obtained the knife, along with six others like it, to give to my groomsmen for my wedding. I presented them at our rehearsal dinner, during which two of my buds cut themselves despite my warning...

While it will apparently not have a blade of S30V, nor be made in Golden, VG10 and Seki manufacture is more than adequate. I'd appreciate more details on the "PowerLock," as it appears from the catalog illustration to be similar to the classic mid-lock.

My long-held dream of a big Spyderco folder with the name of TATANKA may be soon realized, based on the new catalog. And with a four-way clip for we "sinister" types as well. Thanks, Mr. Glesser.

Send it to STR, who is a member of this forum, and has his own sub-forum on Bladeforums, and he'll do it quickly, cheaply, and with the consent of Mr. Emerson. The knives that he has "waved" for me exhibit fine workmanship and, with practice, opening consistency on a par with, and in some ...
