It would be nice to see a new run with this steel: Urban, UKPK, Mule, PM2.
Thin @ 61-62HRC.

Re: HRC Database
Been awhile...but still lurking.
Down to a few Spyderco’s.
EDC GB1 which I love.
2 PM2’s:
52100 and one in CTS-204P.
Anyone know what the CTS-204P tested out at?

Re: Knifejoy Exclusive SMOCK!
https://www.sharpdressedknives.com/spyderco-smock These tend to get back in stock rather quickly I've noticed. A nice variety here. The owner of this company is an old co worker + buddy of mine. Stand up guy. He makes a great product, highly recommended. Nice to see his business doing well after we...

Good stuff Larrin!
Always enjoy the read / science behind it.
My PM2 CTS-204P performs at a high level.

Re: Pacific Salt in LC200N?
Haven't seen anything about this lately. Hopefully, it will be in the next reveal. I'm looking forward to this model with a FFG blade. I'm also hoping it will be a ”2” version, with Endura 4 scales. Sounds good to me! But did you mean the Endura 3 handle? :) I haven't logged on in awhile, and this ...

Blue lube seems to work well.
Out of this stuff at the moment, but will be purchasing some more today.

Re: Caribbean salt is getting sticky and showing rust
Would definitely send it in for the crew to look at. Have you opened it up to confirm that it is in fact rust? Can't remember where or the steel, but I recall reading a story where some growth attached on to the pivot, continued to live and grow with constant salt air, etc.

I would be down for one or two UKPK's in different steels. Cruwear be nice, and to see a new format.
SEKI, JAPAN MULES:
Super Blue + Cobalt come to mind.

Lance, how have you been maintaining this edge?
Are you adding in a micro bevel?

Re: Dedicated Vehicle Emergency Knife
I keep a Benchmade Triage in my center console. Sheepsfoot blade, seat belt cutter, window breaker. In case you roll, etc. visor might not be the best place as it might go flying, and perhaps hard to locate quickly. I was keeping my knife in the passenger side glove box, but figured if I took an imp...

Re: The Waterway Will Be Mine...
Mine came thin behind the edge. It's a slicer no doubt.
Going to use the factory edge on this one as it came.
Stout knife, great feel in hand. The wait was worth it.

Re: The Waterway Will Be Mine...
This knife has been along time in the waiting. And I have to say overall that I am really pleased on how this knife turned out. My first knife in LC200N, and a big slab of it. Feels super comfortable in hand (both grips) and very agile. Full tang goodness, light as well, razor sharp out of the box, ...

Re: Can I baton with lc200n?
Being prepared is key. It's not very often that I dont know where I am going, or what I will be doing. If I find myself in the backcountry, I lean towards a knife with more versatility: fire, batoning, etc. 1095 or A2.

Re: Can I baton with lc200n?
Marc, That's kind of what I thought you meant when you said batoning / parameters. I think the waterway could handle that if that was the knife you had, but would prefer another knife to use. I have a four dog stove, and I usually use my LT Wright Camp Muk for that role. Always comes back to the sam...

Re: Can I baton with lc200n?
I think it would hold up to some abuse, splitting some kindling and or lighter work, but really an axe is 100x better for that application. And if I was going to a place where one knife was needed, it probably wouldnt be the waterway. With that said, I am looking forward to receiving my waterway on ...

Re: What do you do when Super Blue gets super wet?
I was buying cans or compressed air, but they are not cheap. I started using my pocket bellows for starting fires, works well to get water out. It's like a collapsible antenna that focuses air to a specific area. You can find them on online.

Re: Cruwear micarta Bushcraft/Proficient
Vivi is dead on with this. 01 Euro / A2 US: both are tough steels, and take a great edge. Great for camp, bushcraft, etc. I usually will pack an axe for heavier work, but these steels will certainly hold up for kindling, prying, carving, and twisting cuts, especially in scandi grind with some weight...

Re: Cruwear micarta Bushcraft/Proficient
So, I own both the Bushcraft and the Proficient. They are both wonderful knives and they have the best ergonomics I have ever felt. Truly amazing! The Bushcraft is great and so is O1 but for me the thick Scandi grind is a little limited in its applications. It does bushcraft well but as a general p...
