Micarta!
My thoughts exactly. Spyderco needs more Micarta in the lineup! A mini Pattada around 3 inches with Black or Green Linen Micarta, now that would be something :)

Re: Your last purchase in 2017

For me the last is a Vrango. Loving it. They're so cheap right now. Looks like insane value for the money and seems to be mostly overlooked. There's almost nothing out there on the knife (videos etc.). Still, I restrained myself and didn't buy one. My last purchase: Cutlery Shoppe wharnie Delica &a...

Re: Urban Slipjoint 'action' not crisp

Why oh why Spyderco do you not use a metal insert for the D shape at the pivot in the FRN scales? Mine is free spinning, even though I really didn't use any force on it. Now it's slightly loose and impossible to retighten or undo completely. Great stuff! This is a known issue, that the D shape gets ...

Re: Urban Slipjoint 'action' not crisp

So it seems that this kind of action is to be expected, at least with the K390 Urban. Ok then, I suppose I'll have to adjust my grip on the knife and be more delicate :D I think it could definitely be a potential for improvement to make the detent a bit sharper/deeper.

Re: Urban Slipjoint 'action' not crisp

I also think it's a superb design and really love it, but as soon as I put my thumb on the ramp it closes ever so slightly to that position you see in the video, which is really not great and means that I have to completely keep my fingers off the top of the blade to use it.

Mine is a K390 as well. Here's a video to illustrate what I mean. Sorry for the vertical video.

Urban Slipjoint 'action' not crisp

Hi guys, something's always bugged me about my Urban but I'm not sure whether my standards are too high. Would be interesting to hear whether your Urbans are also like this. The closing 'action' isn't crisp from fully open towards the half stop. It's kind of mushy and I can close the blade slightly ...

Is there a way of knowing whether the image was succesfully submitted? Curious about this as well. I submitted mine and after it looked like it was trying to upload for a while the screen suddenly reset to the info submission page but all the text boxes were empty. I didn't get a confirmation. Same...
