The base price has me awaiting a sprint run. If I'm going to spend that much, I don't want any desire for more. I'd rather pay $240 for a Shaman in M4 or $260 for Maxamet than $185 for s30v. Just ordered a black one from the mothership. I already have a PE and SL but the black one just looks so nice!
Disappointed as I also love the liners. I wish I had a spare or two but maybe I’ll pick up a new linerless one as I do love the manix 2 backlock which also has no liners. I guess I just don’t want any of my favorites to change. It feels like the new one will be somehow, not as nice, because I really...
I have 5x manix 2’s. My advice is if your fingers are sore switch to another knife style for a couple days, like a pm2. When you have healed up you might find the knife is easier to manipulate than you remember. Give it a couple days of couch flicking and it will be fine.
Curved clip issue. Keep them curved. Offer the knife with both; for tip up or down. Adds small cost to the knife. I wouldn't think that be a big deal. Three camps here. One, keep it the way it is, don't change a thing. Two, add tip up option. Three, change a bunch of things. I fall either into one ...
I got my 1st Shaman to gravity close by spinning around in circles while waving a rubber chickenover my head. Well, it was either that or the drop of mil-tec gun oil in the pivot... I would do both just to be sure. I would also use a fairly high quality rubber chicken. Perhaps a sprint run or exclus...
I have a question I will get to for anyone who has a shaman. Mine was a little stiff but it didn't bother me because the blade is big. Plus part of the reason it's stiff when opening it is the pressure from the lock bar. Mine is very strong. But I did have some issues. When disengaging the knife it...
Please forgive me if I should have made my own thread for this. I figured most of the shaman fans would be here. Do any of you notice slight up and down blade play detectable with even the slightest amount of pressure? With my finger in the forward choil I can feel the movement and even hear it cli...
I thought I’d share my experience so far as I’m also having a problem with my second shaman. The first one I bought was a plain edge and it’s flawless and beautiful. I liked it so much I ordered the serrated directly from Spyderco. It was a bit stiff but shut with a slight flick of the wrist. There...

Well... I feel like I’ve been living under a rock. I’ve been a knife guy for 40 years and a front flipper is news to me! I might have to grab one just to play with.
Just got my shipping notification from BHQ though! Shaman is in the mail!
Cancelled my Knifecenter preorder and ordered from bladehq. Knifecenter would only say that they don’t have any control or any idea when a shipment would arrive. Not very inspiring.
I’m one of the few that wishes all knives had a forward choil for consistency and safety. I tend to be drawn to knives that have them and they tend to find their way into my collection when discovered. The crkt hootenanny and cold steel lawman come to mind. It’s a big factor in my spydie selections ...
