Re: Custom Kitchen Knife Came In

I make a Petty in 80CrV2. You will find it a dream to sharpen. Not the best for corrosion so no leaving in the sink.

Re: Recommendations for a European traditionalist

Hi Bernhard I’m from the country most confused with yours Australia. As Sal said, start with a Delica and go from there. Probably my most carried knife when I want a no hassle, won’t cry for a week if I lost it knife. Funny we have a special area in our post office in Sydney that receives most of th...

Re: What is your favorite Delica variant?

https://files.catbox.moe/nir8h3.jpeg This is the one knife I still rave about to anyone till this day. Delica Pakkawood from Knifecenter. Probably the biggest WOW out of the box of any knife I have bought. Love it and the build is better than many more expensive knives. https://nemoknivesreview.com...

Re: Upping the price.

Funny as I was buying a set of callipers the other day and I thought of this thread. Prices ranged from $20 to $100 and several makers with products made in several countries. Paid near the top of the price for three reasons Company I trust Quality I trust Innovative design. Spyderco has the same 3 ...

No issue if it’s only Fahrenheit. :winking-tongue (That’s just a warm day in Northern Australia ;) ) Do you all say "UP" north like we do? :thinking :winking-tongue Yep i am “ Up north “ downunder Well I actually live in one of the three states that are directional Northern Australia… NT ...

Re: MT40P – HIC Mule Team Dropping Soon!

This Mule team has always been a testing platform for new steels and products. I have probably 5-7 steels that are not available as a knife maker let alone have a fully functional knife that is heat treated and sharp (just missing a handle even though I can buy one) As a knife maker I battle to make...

Re: New(ish) Delica is covered in surface rust

Have sent knives to the US from Northern Australia for $20aud (larger hunting and Chef knives I make) so a Delica in a small satchel with some bubble wrap won’t be that expensive. But for me a bit of Bar keepers Friend would do you straight. Send me a PM and I can sort someone in Australia who could...

Re: Upping the price.

As much as I love Spydercos K390, I find spending £354 (that’s $446!!) on an Enuff 2 to be quite an ask. FRN scales, a fixed blade with a hole in it and a sheath with more rattles than a Mojave Green will only get you so much good grace from me Spyderco. 😆 A Enuff 2 is $240 US from Knifecenter Curr...

Re: Upping the price.

Only minutes ago I was over at the mountain bike forum. A couple guys over there are complaining about the high prices. Think about how bad it must be for people who play with both knives AND mountain bikes! This is tame compared to the watch Forums. A $4000 luxury watch in 2014 from a boutique is ...

Re: Upping the price.

Started putting handles on Mules which led me to actually making knives. (Fixed blade hunters and kitchen knives mainly) Have watched everything go up from sandpapers/grinding belts, epoxy, G10 to the tools I use mostly. (Shipping is the scariest) Research a new vice for a month and find a month lat...

My 2 came in a couple hours ago and I threw some temporary scales on them. One sharper than the other but both slide through printer paper. Hopefully tomorrow I'll get a chance play around with them more.

Re: MT40P – HIC Mule Team Dropping Soon!

When I was a butcher and ceramic knives came out, they were a new thing and worth a try. We found them as a great knife for dicing meat. Not as good for slicing large steaks as they didn’t have the heft of larger steel knives. (Useless for boning as bending and hitting bone was out) They were good a...

Plenty of fishing knives in Japan fishing tackle shops.
(Japan tackle is next level compared to US)
A few H1 knives that are not Spyderco :winking-tongue
