Bring it back, what do you think?
I want to buy a brand new C01PTU.
The C01 was the first Spyderco. It was the original. The Worker was the first knife with a clip and the first knife with a hole for one handed opening. It was new and unlike any other blade out there. An original idea. Someone reinvented the wheel. Now I knew ...

This thread began in January of 2004. It's old. I guess there have been posts on this matter since 2000. If you search you will find them. Spyderco explained that in order to create this blade some warpage occured and it was considered normal. If you have no warpage great, if you do have warpage I ...

I bought a PE Calypso about 4 years ago for less than $100. I thought that knife was beautiful, really made me a spydernut.
One day I decided to go on a bike ride so I rolled the motorcycle out of the garage and got ready to go. I had that Calypso clipped in my back pocket. I rode about 150 miles ...

FRN is fiberglass reinforced nylon and while it is not expensive it is certainly not cheap in fact tests show that the stuff is virtually indestructable. That means it won't break. It has a very high impact rating so if you drop it, it will not be affected and the stuff will seemingly last forever ...

As often as I can I carry my C01STU. I know this is kind of small compared to say the Endura, and other larger Spyderco blades, but I just like the way it feels in the pocket and I'm a big fan of the black aluminum handle. That curved serrated blade also means business.

reactions from non knife people
The worst reaction I've had was from a ss plain edged police. I whipped it out and open in front of a customer to put a carry handle in his box, he saw that and didn't say anything else except thank you as he hurridly walked away.
Simply put, that's what it's all about. I guess the reactions we get ...

I look at this Kopa and see a simple knife. A simple design with a ton of style. Looks expensive. Spyderco prices seem to be directly related to what is used to make the knife. A FRN handle is less expensive than a stainless handle. Plastic inlay is less expensive than wood. The type of steel used ...

I carry a Calypso Jr. roughly a 2.5 in blade. I use this knife for what it was intended for including but not limited to cutting, trimming, slicing and occasionaly as a money clip. I learned about knives and cutting tools at a young age through the Boy Scouts. I bought a Ladybug when I was twelve ...
