Haha... All that lovely work to mess up the thumb hole. I wish I had a drill press, because it turned out horribly. Oh well. Glad it was only. Mild steel

Little more done, final shape is pretty solid, just need the thumb hole and edge geometry. Blade is actually almost perfectly balanced at the pivot point currently.

Re: Monster Roc

I can't decide what edge I want to try to put on it. Staying with the classic would look good, but I almost want to put a 1 sided hollow grind on it to look like a straight razor. Or just a 1 sided flat grind. Idk ideas?

Re: Monster Roc

Bevel isn't my big concern, it's just that the blade is really thick, I have to loosen the handle screws just to slide it in there, so I gotta find a way to make the whole blade thinner. The steel is home depot special so I imagine it can be heat treated, just not to an insane degree.

Re: Monster Roc

Coming along nicely, actually locks open, kinda messed up the grind on the lock ramp but it works. I have no idea how I'm going to thin the knife out as what it's sitting on is my only "tool" and holding it flat against the belt is just begging for removed fingertips. Still need to grind t...

Re: Monster Roc

Yeah, even the original Roc is really just a looker and hardly has an actual use, but that's why I got it. I liked the look of it and have plenty of utility knives.

Re: Monster Roc

Slow going because I don't really have the proper tools, but this is what I got so far. Handle is a Spyderco Resilience. Approximately 9" long from tip to end of handle. Edge length of 3.5". hopefully more coming soon
