I have toned down my collection very significantly. I'm sad to say that was mostly due to financial problems (although thankfully we're out of it now). I have a total of Spydercos left, those that wouldn't fetch enough money and those that have a special meaning, my wife has one. I find that I like ...

I've personally found VG-10 to be corrosion resistant and took some VG-10 knives to a day at the beach more than once without any issue. Just rinse off with fresh water and dry well when you're done.

I've been training for about 5 years now, mostly BJJ, Muay Thai, Kyokushin and a little bit of boxing.

Also been training a little bit in a couple of other things, but so far, really a little bit :)

I got the 204 about 5 years ago, pretty much used nothing else ever since.

Never had a problem with freehand sharpening and seen lots of good stones and systems but the 204 is just so comfortable and easy to use, I always go back to it.

I'm not sure about the torx screw but dish soap and a sponge have always worked great for me (I have the white FRN D'fly). I also really like the white FRN, gives the knife a classy look, and there's an upside for the dirt being visible, makes you clean it more often, especially if the knife handles...

This looks like a slip up that happened during the grinding. While this is not normal from a fit and finish point of view, I wouldn't return it as it really has no effect of the knife's performance.

These things can happen on factory knives and in my view it's fine.

I'm blown away that there isn't any mention of the Victorinox Spirit! I have one and it sits on my belt every day. I hve an older LM Wave, a LM Sideclip and a squirt P4. The Victorinox blows them all away! The fit and finish as well as the engineering on this tool is amazing. It also doesn't have a...

I EDC my Cricket clipless either in my wallet or in my change pocket.

Anything I carry in pocket but leave the clip attached because sometimes I do need to clip the knife.

Nothing impressive Impressive I'm afraid :o On a typical summer I go swimming a lot and I like to hike in water trails. Usually the Salt 1 is always with me, always wet and cuts everything I need it to, mostly fruit. Since I went back to school, I'll probably spend the summer studying rather than hi...

An offer for Spyderco

I was thinking, This summer I'm not going to have a lot of water activity (usually I do), and I was wondering if the good folks at Spyderco would be interested in taking my Salt 1 for testing. I've had it for well over 4 years now, it's been used ALOT and it's been sharpened a lot. I'd be happy to s...
