Re: Back lock Lock rock

Thanks VooDoo! Your post is what inspired me to create this thread. I love Golden models too, and others. Im actually looking for reasons why lock rock is the worst thing ever. Just trying to understand and expand my mind here.

Love the manix XL.

round off the edges of the handle (Shaman handle treatment).
Its a long shot, but I would actually like to see this done to the majority of Spyderco's lineup.

Re: lc200n production

There have been a few posts about lc200n and galvanic corrosion. I dont have any insider information, but I have a feeling Spyderco is trying to figure this out before full production. Testing takes time and it might be as simple as the liners, lock bar, or screws.

Back lock Lock rock

Its almost fun to have your child say three times fast. I have a couple of back lock spyderco's. They all have some lock rock to some degree. I dont have any Golden made ones. I also have never really compared them to other manufactures. What are your issues with "lock rock"? Is it safety, anal rete...

Re: Spyderco Sheepsfoot Blades: Likes, Dislikes and Favorite Models?

I love sheepsfoot, especially in SE. I've been coveting the Caribbean in that configuration since it was introduced. I just haven't pulled the trigger. I don't know what I've been waiting for. My gut says its the scales.

Re: Shaman Cruwear; Brown Micarta characteristics

The Shaman Brown Micarta Cruwear Sprint is likely a quick sellout when it reaches vendors, if the FOMO frenzy is any indication. The scale and steel combination has been popular in posts since the earliest rumors. They are not yet widely in the wild, so I hope this post will address some queries ab...

Re: Shaman Cru-Wear Sprint Run release ?

As I come back to this thread (which I love to do) a couple of times a day. Eating some popcorn, and having a beer (one per day). :D I have something I would like to add, for those who may be mathematically challenged. I'd like to attempt to set a line, as to where "flippers" are trying to gouge us...

Re: Shaman Cru-Wear Sprint Run release ?

Seriously, if this is as big a deal as we think, there will be more. The very definition of a Spyderco “sprint” run is one run and done — no repeats, no re-issues. If there’s 1200 pieces, that’s it. Get one while you can. They would only need to change the color of the micarta and boom, new product...

Re: Centofante

I'd be absolutely ok with the Centofante 4 just like it is if it only had a screw pivot. I'll even be happy with VG10. Agreed. I think the design should be exactly the same as the original except with all the build improvements the newer FRN models have gotten, like the screw construction. Of cours...

I think the 4 was the wharncliffe. It would be cool to see it come back in some form or another. People can't seem to get enough wharncliffes these days so the timing would be right.
Thanks, I fixed the original post.

Re: Sal, any plans for a fully serrated Police LW?

This really depresses me something horrible :( To even think that any Spyderco POLICE model would not be offered in full Spyderedge just simply goes against the grain of what brought me here to Spyderville to begin with. The full Spyderedged, stainless handled POLICE is so iconic to the entire Spyd...

Re: POLL: Choking up on Ricasso or even edge - who does it?

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the ricasso on the Delica, Endura, etc. is the perfect design. It acts like a choil, but isn't one. I love it. It doesn't get hung up on things like choils can. Also, it's the perfect area to drop the blade onto when closing one handed. Lots of room to cho...

Re: CPM M4 edc fixed blade

Sounds like there is a lot of interest in an M4 fixed blade. Quite frankly, I'm surprised it didn't happen a long time ago. Especially since Spyderco's M4 heat treat is well respected in the industry.

My preference would be pukko or Bushcraft style knife. Contoured handle.
