I can’t remember ever chipping s110v. I have chipped Vtoku2 and LC200N tho.

Re: Give The Spyderedge A Chance Thread

The Siren should definitely come in SE. I’d also like to see a full SE Military or PM2 in 52100 or Cruwear. I haven’t handled a Native Chief yet but that would also be a good candidate for SE in a tougher steel.

Re: Badly bent clip

For the longest time I never bent a Spyderco clip and really feel a lot of thought went into their spoon clip. I managed to bend one, one time and it was only enough to keep the clip from touching the handle so it was an easy fix to remove, bend back and install. I don’t carry my frn salts often so ...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

Been giving this one a run lately: https://i.imgur.com/MeHV1hp.jpg Have you gotten a chance to use that one much? I have a feeling that steel would work well with SE / CE. Bet those serrations get real sharp 👍 I was lucky. Thunderstorm rolled in when I was about three minutes from the truck. https:...

Re: CPM-10V - History and Properties

Interesting article. I enjoyed learning about the history and the interesting qualities that are obtained through the PM process.

It’s great Spyderco plays with these types of steels but I’d like to see them more readily available.

Re: Police HAP40 and Pakkawood: KC Exclusive

That looks great but the price seems very high. I believe the Endura went for $145 or so. I know the Police is a larger model but an $80 increase over the Endura seems a bit much.

I just ordered a copy too. I was browsing some of the preview pages and I like how he carried over a quick summary section at the end of the topics. Looking forward to this one.

Re: Siren

I want to leave some feedback here after using my Siren everyday for months. I have noticed that one thing that has been a bit polarizing about the design is the heavier g10 texture. Some folks love it and others are scared it will be a “pocket shredder”. The texture was indeed chosen to provide be...

Re: Triple B/Spyderco Folder

Is there any word this will be a folder? I hope it is but I can see a version of his custom fixed blade coming out.

From what I remember from the 15V thread, I’m guessing this will be in 15V with a very hard heat treat and fairly thin behind the edge.

I called and they won’t ship to my state, even though autos are legal for me to have on private property. She said there are about 10 states they won’t ship to :(

Re: SMKW exclusive Autonomy 2 carbon fiber

Glad to see they went with S30V on this one. I’ve been wanting to try an Autonomy 2 for a while now. Pending the price, I will jump on one. Would also look into if it was S90V.

Re: Siren

I’ve carried mine every day since I received it, mid April, and absolutely love it. I quickly bought a second one. Every model with textured g10 should have this level of grip in my opinion. The action is the best I’ve experienced from any back lock, in smoothness, lock up and free swinging-ness. T...

I agree. After carrying mine for a couple of months, the G-10 edginess has smoothed out and now it's just the right amount of texture.
Exactly. It’s good to see it on the yojumbo. Let’s hope the trend catches on.

Re: Siren in the dish washer?

If you really feel the need to sterilize it, after washing it with soap and hot water you can wipe it down with rubbing alcohol but unless you’re splinter picking, it’s a little overboard.

Re: S30V Support Club

After carrying LC200N for the last 2+ months, I miss the edge retention of S30V. I’ve started to carry my first PM2 in S30V as well as the Kapara.

There’s a lot I really love about the Siren but not needing that level of corrosion resistance has me wanting it in S30V.
