Addictions (Strider Knives content)

Been quite a while since I posted over here on the Spyderco Forum. Must say that I'm glad to see this new format in place. Kudo's to Spyderco for making the change!! :D :D :D Yes, I am an addict. My drug of choice is Strider Knives. The sad part is that it has only taken 1 week for me to become addi...

Here is my heavy duty folder. It is a J.W. Smith LDC-5 that I sent back to John to have the clip moved up to the top of the bolster, and to have a stainless backspacer added. What started out as a 6 ounce heavy duty folder has now ended up as an 8 to 9 ounce even heavier duty folder. The best part i...

This may be after the fact but I picked up some Stair-Tread tape from my local Ace Hardware. This is a 3M product and comes in a medium gray color so it nicely contrasts with the stainless steel. I put mine on a custom Obernauf framelock I have and so far it has done a super job. It is a preformed r...

The Ice Storm of the century is what hit. Over 2,000,000 people without power in the Carolina's! I live in N.C. in the southern foothills and we lost power Wednesday until today at 10:30 AM. We were lucky though as we had a wood stove for heat and camping equip. for cooking. Water didn't go off and ...

Monkey-mange ALL over. Right and left forearms, chest, belly, lower legs. I mean all over. Sold a knife to a guy a while back and he informed me the other day as I was sharpening it for him that the last time I sharpened it he went home and shaved his balls. So I guess he had monkey mange balls! Don...

The Dremel tool is the greatest invention since white bread! I use it more than any tool I have. Polishing is a breeze with it. I polish screws, pivots, liners, and blades. All my knives pretty much open as smooth as butter due to the Dremel.

Try a can of disc brake cleaning spray! This stuff will not only dissolve, but also blast out grit and it evaporates in seconds. Will not harm the steel or the G-10. Follow up with some Tuf-Glide and you will be in bidnizz! Art Sigmon "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."...

Just picked one of these up Saturday. Had been looking at them for a couple of months but wanted a ti frame with the plain edge. Yeah the tip is fragile. I will carry it in the back pocket and alternate it with my DKW Sand Shark. These knives only get carried when I go to work at my part time job at Wal-Mart. I work in the Sporting Goods and have several knife knuts come by to compare knives. It will be fun to pull out the Ci...
