Re: Behold! The elusive "Dodofly"!
I'm always surprised how much utility the forward jimping has, esp. on small blades like the Jester.

Re: Behold! The elusive "Dodofly"!
I am still pining after one of these! Adding the forward jimping would be gorram perfect! That actually somehow makes me even more excited for this prospect. Dee, The dodofly would be an entirely different animal. I really don't think the dodofly could be a replacement for a dodo ( cause of those aw...

Re: What’s Your Favorite Underrated Sleeper Knife?
Mine would be the meerkat with the reverse-s blade. A sleeper in both senses. The quirky lock and funny blade shape put people off, but holy guacamole; best ergos of a small knife, effortless one-handed operation, and blade angles that make aus-6 laugh at super steels. Seriously, one of best perform...

Re: Caly 3.5 Light Weight: Any News?
This will definitely be one to look forward to! I agree with Wartstein though, I really hope some of these come in SE. I've been wanting an SE caly 3.5 for some time and a lightweight with screw construction would be phenomenal.

Re: Unpopular opinions
I think my controversial blade opinions are:
BBL lock is probably the best out there, but I'm not really a fan of the CBBL lock.
Spyderedge is where it's at
Small blades are perfectly adequate more often than not
Same goes for VG-10
Also, Reverse-S is the best small blade shape

Re: C-60 Ayoob Campaign: No I Won't Shut Up
Quick JD!
Now is our chance!
My vote is for g10 handles ( any color), no slogans, and of course SE and PE blades. Country of manufacturing and blade steel I wont be picky about.
Golden, CO and Lc200n would be nice though.

Re: C-60 Ayoob Campaign: No I Won't Shut Up
"It and the Ulize are also the best sandwich cutters in the folding world. Truly an underrated feature! :D" Perfect! Now I can convince my wife it's for the kitchen! Seriously though, as long as the Ayoob came in SE, I wouldn't have a qualm with vg-10. My first choice would probably be the...

Re: C-60 Ayoob Campaign: No I Won't Shut Up
I'll take one! I've wanted to try an Ayoob for a while now. This is probably the only spyder without a reverse-s blade I really want to see come back.
My only caveat is it must be available in SE.

Re: Question for Dodo users...
Excellent choice JMM! Congrats! You will not be disappointed. My SE dodo is my favorite blade with my lil' matriarch being up there with it. I prefer the Dodo overall, however the se lil' matriarch may be a bit better for general edc. The ergos reliability of the dodo's blade give it an edge though....

Re: The Final (probably) Three, Revised
This is harder than I thought. Sp, I'm gonna kinda cheat. 1: SE Dodo Nothing works quite like this Dodo. 2:Paysan I love the blade shape and the integral titanium handle. 3: Ocelot/Lil' Matriarch/ Meerkat (reverse-s) [SE] I love the different reverse-s blades, but the Ocelot's drop point and ergos a...

Re: Scarcity of CBBL
As a matter of personal preference, I find the CBBL to be only alright. I don't like having to pinch the lock and pull back.
I unquestionably prefer the BBL. I can easily use one thumb to operate the BBL and retain a good grip.
The only time CBBL wins for me is when wearing large gloves.

Re: Salty Dodo
After carrying both my manix and dodo this weekend, I've decided I'd definitely rather stick with the bbl on the dodo. It's just easier to operate one-handed for me. I don't like having to use two fingers to pinch the cbbl on my manix.

Re: Salty Dodo
Maybe I'm greedy, but I want a salt dodo and a salt dodofly! Also maybe a lil' matriarch salt. I feel the ego's of the dodo make it a more capable work knife, while the dodofly will be more pocket friendly. I personally don't struggle with the bbl, but I wouldn't mind a cbbl lock on the dodo! As lon...

Salty Dodo
This undoubtedly has been mentioned before. However, I think it is a wonderful enough idea to merit it's own (or another) thread. I think we need a salt Dodo! A Dodo salt in SE would be a fantastic tool whether you are on the water or not. With a rust proof (lc200n) se blade and hardware, the dodo w...
