GB duo. I don't carry or use the Air much, but I'm trying to overcome my fear of clip-less knives and change that.

Re: Crazy Good Deals Part 2!!

yeah I tend to stick to discontinued models when it comes to ack. even then sometimes the asking prices are dumb. think I saw a szabo folder for $500 when I paid a bit under $200 for my first run on the secondary market and around $170 for a new second run from a store. There is a Watu listed of AC...

I just remembered I have a cadet on my keychain, too. I guess that’s a multi tool (?), so I’ll re-vote.

Re: Spyderco Seconds Sale Scores

My two scores arrived yesterday. A Manix LW and a Centofante 3. I really like both of them although I doubt they'll replace any Spyderco knives I already own. It took a little while to figure out why they were seconds, but I think I have. The scales are a little rough in one area of the Centofante. ...

Re: Spyderco Seconds Sale Scores

In case it hasn't been mentioned already, some ceramic files have been added to the Seconds Sale page (I didn't notice them yesterday). The prices are good ($0.50 each).

Maybe more items will be added—who knows!

Re: Crazy Good Deals Part 2!!

I never thought I'd put a listing from Arizona Custom Knives on this thread but there is a Watu listed for $160 which I think is a good deal.

If I didn't have one already it'd be calling to me.

Gayle said he was retiring and would not be designing any more models.

A great designer and knife maker. I hope he enjoys retirement.

Perhaps a spirt run to celebrate his career???

Re: Spyderco Collaborators You Would Love to See Again?

Gayle Bradley, definitely Gayle Bradley. Seems like some like one over the other, but they all seem to be held in high esteem. Is it just 3? Air, GB1, & GB2? For folders there is also the Advocate. The fixed blades are the Junction, the Bradley Bowie, and the Nightstick. More would be more bett...

Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???

I've been carrying a A.G. Russell lockback with a mother of pearl handle a lot lately. It's a wonderful piece, although usually it's my "secondary" knife, and the primary (usually a Watu or a GB2) does most of the cutting. I'm not a big fan of polished blades, but in this case I think it f...

Gayle Bradley—is he still actively making custom knives?

Hello, Subject sums it up. I am wondering if anyone knows whether Gayle Bradley is still making (and taking orders for) custom knives and if so, how I would contact him. I cannot remember when his website was last up and running, but it seems like it's been quite a few years now. An internet search ...

Re: Questions for Gayle Bradley owners

It's a hair under 4 inches by my measurement. Mine is centered with a smooth action. The detent is relatively weak, and I can partially open the knife open with a good shake. I have no issue using the Spydie hole to open the knife with my thumb. My measurement of the length the OP is describing is ...

GB2. Ordered it after 3 days of searching for my lost GB1. Figured I’d get it before the price went up. Needless to say, the GB1 surfaced a few hours after placing the order.

Re: Looking for advice on "undoing" SAK alox engraving

Thanks to both of you for the suggestions. I ended up taping it off, leaving the engraving area exposed, and using a Dremel. It turned out far from perfect, but the objective of obliterating the engraved name without damaging the scale was achieved. Happy New Year!

Looking for advice on "undoing" SAK alox engraving

Hi, Subject sums it up. I bought a used Cadet Alox with a name engraved in engraving area. I didn't think it would bother me, and it doesn't bother me enough that I don't use it, but I've decided to try to remove it if it's not too much trouble. The only thing I could think of trying was sanding the...
