Native 5 LW in S35VN. IMHO, it's one of the best values in an EDC knife. It's USA made, with a premium blade steel, has great ergonomics, and it can be disassembled for cleaning and maintinence by the owner unlike another popular Spyderco, the Manix 2 LW.

Today I received my Raffir Noble Chaparral from Blade HQ. I'm very pleased with the wire mesh patterns in the scales. The only area that had less mesh was nicely hidden by the pocket clip. Also, if I hadn't been specifically feeling for wire mesh protruding from the scales, I would have never notice...

There are threaded steel inserts imbedded in the G10 scales to anchor the pocket clip screws.camvdcs wrote:I thought I read somewhere that there were steel liners molded into the G10 for the clip screws. Got my order in today at KC. Already shipped.

I'm new to the forum and this is my first post. I received the Manix 2 Back Lock from Blade HQ today. The fit and finish is excellent. The G10 scales have a very fine texture. I don't have access to a scale; but, to me the new back lock Manix 2 is lighter than the ball bearing lock G10 Manix 2. Als...
