if I were to carry only one blade shape, it would have a belly.

To me, any material that requires a back and forth “sawing” motion will benefit from a belly, whereas if I’m doing a draw cut - a straight edged blade works better. They’re equivalent to me on push cuts.

My reasons are pretty simple. FFG and lightweight options. :)

Is there a reason you want non-locking? I thought it was legal to carry a locking knife in Cali. TONS more knives out there if you don't absolutely need it to be non-locking. I do often frequent schools / public universities. I really can't remember correctly, but I think one of them allows locking...

I've been sharpening similarly, although sometimes I flip and do the exactly opposite. Sharpening on the backside near parallel to the edge, and then taking off the burr on the front side with the corner of a strop. Wondering if anyone else out there does this?

My opinion on the hawksbill is that it will do fine with smaller fruits and vegetables. Apples, tomatoes, carrots, etc.

It does not do well with preparing beef, chicken, fish - the stuff that is squishy and deforms and moves around when you cut it. You want a belly on the knife.

Are the VG10 and H1 dragonfly clips the same?

I'm wondering because I've got one of each dragonfly and I think I've mixed the screws and clips up. Was wondering if the H1 clips and screws were different and more rust-proof / resistant than the VG10 clips or if they are identical?
