Re: MULE TEAM™ Future Predictions
Not really sure, but I think PM-V11 may be proprietary steel. As far as I can see it is only found in Lee Valley tools. Mostly Veritas plane irons and chisels. Quick Google search didn't find the steel composition or who is producing it. I could be wrong though. I think you're right. I also suspect...

It went very well for me also. Refreshes were much faster and no problems at all.

Re: A guard tab
I also wondered about removing the tab. On my first attempt, you can see from the middle mule I trimmed it back slightly. But on the z-wear mule (top) I significantly paired back the size and shape of the tang as well. I primarily utilized an inexpensive harbor freight 1x30 belt sander, which actua...

Re: SRS13/SUS405 Performance Thread
I don't have the SRS13 mule so I'm curious how it performs. It looks very similar to D2 with small W and V additions. Those of you that have some use with it how does it compare to D2? I don't use my SRS13 mule for the same type of tasks as the D2 knives I have but my experience seems to be the SRS...

Re: H2 Mule Team...
Maybe one of those missing numbers in the sequence of the ones announced is an H2 Mule. I would be in for one or probably two. My daughter and SIL spend a lot of time fishing and paddling and it would be a great knife for them.

Re: SRS13/SUS405 Performance Thread
I agree with your assessment of how nicely it responds to the ceramic sharpening stones. It seems to dull quicker but it also sharpens very easily and quickly to a very sharp edge. I also haven't had any corrosion at all and my wife isn't careful either with the knives. I like it quite a bit. I was...

The Tek-Wood scales came in the other day. I am very, very pleased with them. :D Excellent color (even a bit of chatoyance!) and excellent quality. https://i.imgur.com/Foeqx0V.jpg https://i.imgur.com/xi8GZ56.jpg Their Burlap Micarta is pretty great too. :) https://i.imgur.com/yoYBDaG.jpg https://i....

Re: MT32/SRS13 Thoughts/Impressions
So, wife and I have been using this in the kitchen and it cuts really well. Still sharp, even after the wife using it on her bamboo cutting board that I can't convince here is bad for knife edges (not pushing it, happy wife, happy life). Has cut lots of acidic and other foods, washed and let dry nat...
