Re: Ok, so the Kapara is really good. Better than I thought. Especially in M4!

The Kapara is indeed stunning, and I love M4, but the steel is way too tough for this knife. S90V, on the other hand...

Re: Mule Team Survey

1) Did you purchase a Mule Team knife in the past? Two: 4V and PSF27. 2) Did you put a handle on it? On the 4V, got a knifemaker to do a handle and a kydex sheath. The PSF27 is still in my drawer. 3) Did you make or buy a sheath? On the 4V, got a knifemaker to do a handle and a kydex sheath. 4) Did ...

Incredible amount of work! Thank you!

Would you consider re-testing M4 at a higher hardness?

Re: Lil VS XL

What is your EDC, then? Because for me it's mostly packages and food. And while you can slice up packages with a small knife, food prep is a struggle. A big blade allows you to, for example, cut a cake without getting icing in the pivot. The only thing smaller than the Endura I own is a BM Gaucho, a...

A linerless C54 in Super Blue or something would be incredible.

Re: Best grip?

I apologize for the blasphemy, but the best grip I've had was on a Benchmade 810. Insane texturing, geometry and bumps on the liners under the G10. Dry, wet, muddy or bloody, the grip will tear your hand apart before you drop the knife.

Re: Next Generation Military suggestions thread?!?!

No full liners, please. It won't add much to the strength, but the weight gain will be noticeable. There are 4-way clips on linerless knives.

Re: You believe in love at 2nd sight?

The Military. Old S30V left me lukewarm, but the CQI S110V won me over. And the M4 is even better.

Re: What do you want to see more of from Spyderco?

Big knives in interesting steels! Maxamet Manix 2 XL! HAP40 Calypso! Large Caribbeans! That Native Chief thing! K390 Pattada! I'd have to open my wallet for a k390 pattada. Or make a sprint vanadis 10 pattada. That'd be pretty sweet. I was just trying to be realistic. Maniago already works with K39...

Re: Maxamet vs CRUWEAR vs S110V

But it looks like S110V has M4 beat in every category. I’m just not loving the burple G10..... As an owner of both Militaries, the M4 is different. It's more about the feel, with the same treatment it just gets a hair sharper and more aggressive than the S110V. But seeing as you've already got some...

Re: The Best Edge Steels

IN MY OPINION These three are the best high performance edge steels that are AVALIBLE on production folders in 2018 Maxamet, K390, CPM Cruwear It was difficult to narrow it it down to these three, especially with m4,10v and 52100. BD1N and 4v are also favorites but there are currently no folders av...

Re: Upcoming Sabotage

Hey guys, As far as I'm concerned, the steel choice is fine with me. My questions are, will the flipper version ever be offered? And also, will there be a mini version like Nati offers? Just so happy that this collaboration is happening, otherwise, I'd probably never get to experience or own this d...

10V and K390 are slicey, while the Sabotage design is more choppy. And chips on K390 are a pain to sharpen out. Something like 3V or 4V (Cru-Wear, maybe) might be a better fit for the design.
You know, 4V would be awesome...
