Re: "As close to perfection as possible" folder from Spyderco?
Since the best pocket knife is the one that is in your pocket, and the blade restriction length here is 2.5", I'm picking the Dragonfly 2 and the Roadie.

if anyone is looking into resistance bands I recommend Bodylastics. Great product and excellent customer service.
Also interesting are Torrobands and XBAR. Anyone have any experience with these? Thanks

sensible home fitness equipment
Hi, I'm 61 years old and interested in picking up some basic home exercise equipment to help me lose a few pounds and reduce my waste from a 40 to a 36. Not looking to be a bodybuilder or anything like that. It's been years since I could do a pushup and I have a ventral hernia so situps aren't an op...
Re: Airguns
I have a Daisy 853 from the Civilian Marksmanship Program and I compete in matches on the Gatewaytoairguns.org forum. Lots of fun.

EDC screwdriver suggestions
These days I'd rather carry individual tools as opposed to a multitool. Lately my Dragonfly, my Knipex 4 or 5" Cobra pliers, and a 2 dollar Stanley 4-in-1 pocket screwdriver with Phillips 0 and 1, and 1/4 and 5/16" flatheads in a plastic housing. My reasoning is that the 3 most important f...

Which Spyderco is your Gentleman folder?
I used to use traditional slip joints as my gents folders but now I use a black Roadie in this role most of the time. No annoying nail nick, sheeple friendly too.

Re: Tactical Pens Revisited
Lots of the metal pens that drug reps used give to us physicians back in the day make for nice discreet tactical pens. Especially the ones that twist deploy rather than with a push button. Google "Drug rep pens". I like the new version of the Urban Survival Gear Ti Scribe Bolt too. Takes b...

What's on your keychain, besides keys?
Most of us are into EDC to some extent and I've tried a few things on my keyring at one point in time or another. I like the Nitecore Tube flashlight, SAK Classic, Spyderco Bug, P38, a safety pin, Sears Multi screwdriver, Nite Ize Doohickey, etc, depending on where I am and whether knives are allowe...

Proud to say that I would never use a knife blade as a prybar, Spyderco or otherwise. That being said I have tried: Nite Ize Doohickey Gerber Shard CRKT KERT P 38 and P 51 As well as the flat head screw drivers in various multi tools including: SAK Cadet, Super Tinker Leatherman PST and Micra 1967 C...

Sharpmaker experience
Hi, This might be old news but I find that the Mister Clean Magic Eraser does a great job of cleaning the sharpmaker rods. I have also found that certain of my knives, namely my Esee Zancudo D2 and Three Rivers Nomad CPM154 wind up sharper with the fine rods than with the extra fine rods. Am I doing...

The American College of Allergy and Immunology wrote an official position statement that says that MSG is not an allergen. Not capable of causing IgE mediated reactions like anaphylaxis.

Re: Monosodium Glutamate Dangers: What's the facts?
Board certified and twice recertified allergist here. MSG is not an allergen. There is no such thing as allergy testing for MSG. Patients who have an intolerance to MSG do not require epipens. An intolerance is an unpleasant reaction to a food that is not caused by an allergic reaction such as for e...

He also suggested that I loosen the clip screws and shift the clip over so it's not resting on the lock bar. That made a big difference ... I had the same problem. I positioned the clip over the frame and away from the lock bar but I needed to use blue loc tite not just on the torx screws but also ...
